Any New Year Resolutions? I'm just curious. I don't usually make them, but I think it is time for me to change a few habits, and I intend to start right now. First of all, I have to find a new job. I lost my job this week, so I am already working to find another. I haven't decided if I will leave the service industry or not, but right now I will take anything I can get. Secondly, I'd like to lose weight, more importantly, be more active. I love being outdoors, I'm just lazy and don't get off the couch enough. My birthday is in December as well as Christmas, so add 2 birthday cakes to the calories I consumed last month. And third, I'd like to focus more of my energy on learning. I am in school, but there are so many other things I'd like to focus on intellectually, like refining my foreign language skills, learning more music, and exposing myself to more public and political information. The people I know that have kept their wits about them in old age have been those who are constantly keeping their mind active. Who else? I'm sure we have all thought about it, even if not seriously. |
I have a few: * Lose 10-15 lbs * Start cracking down on Smokey's training * Work on being a better christian * I'm going to TRY to read the bible from cover to cover. I'm on page 13! * Get my bills and financial life back in order * Get my health back together |
I only have 5 more smokes! |

Those are good ones! Best of luck on achieving your goals! How about this! I resolve to have 4000 posts by the end of the year! |
I will eat like I did (pre-nursing school) I will exercise regularly and will be getting a personal trainer with my first nursing pay check. I will start hiking again and showing Suri the world. ( I just graduated nursing school and will start training for my ICU position in February. So this is going to be a year like no other where I will focus on myself.) |
I am surprised at how few people are actually resolving to change this year! Maybe people don't want to post their flaws... :p |
I like this thread :) I plan to do better in school. Im doing good. But in order to become a vet, I need to be doing GREAT. I would like to loose a few pounds by cutting back on junk food, as i am already active. i would like to be able to stand up for what i believe in more. Really take a stand against things like, Animal abuse, BSL. And i hope to be joining a group of people that go around and educate the uneducated on important matter such as abuse and how pittbulls and rotties really arent monsters. Good luck to you all on making a change! |

I want to lose some weight, and quit smoking. I also want to work very hard on having a better life. |
Yes... I have a few, but want to continue to add to my list thru the weekend. 1. Clear the clutter & get more organized, starting with desk & closets. 2. Tell friends & family how much I love them, in words and in deeds. 3. Daily thank God for every sunrise and sunset, and everything inbetween. 4. Start that Gratitude Journal I never got around to. 5. Get photos and movies off computer onto DVDs so we can enjoy them. (to be continued...) |
I have a few to add: Lose more weight Manage debt/save money / shop less Get fit Eat right Drink lots of water ( i surely need to do this one) Reduce stress overall and/or at work Take a few trips (non work related) Volunteer to help others Become more active in church Spend More time with Family Too many....But I have some going already!;) |
