I used to know how to do screen caps but I've forgotten. How do you do it?

Hehehe, your desktop is cute.

I'm so anal about my desktop it's unreal... I don't like unneccessary things on it... I don't like clutter.... I only have a few icons and I'm not really keen about them being on there but they have to be in a nice arranged order and in categories! When I change my photos on my background I have to have the colours round the them co-ordinate with the photo! :rolleyes: Seriously, I just read this back and cracked myself up... I have issues! :eek:

You use the PrtSc button and depending on your OS you press either Alt or Ctrl with it. I have Vista so I just use the snipping tool.

Press "Print Screen" then paste it in paint. That's what I do.

Heh, thanks... doesn't justify my strange behaviour though. I did look at my picture after and I laughed at how stupid that will look to other people... my little groupings of programs cracks me up... I'm a freak! :rolleyes:

Mine is the same pic of Mia and Lucia that is in my fabulous avatar that Vicky made for me! It's also smothered in icons because my DH puts shortcuts to every site he finds and never bothers to hide them:rolleyes: xxx xxx

Above all of the little keys between the number pad and the keypad (they say insert, home, pg up, delete, end, pg dn), right above those there are 3 keys (to the right of all of the F1, F2, and so on keys). They say Prt scrn, scroll lock, and pause. Press the one that says "Prt Scrn." Then open "Paint" on your computer. Click "Edit" then "Paste" and it will be there. :)

at least -- that's how you do it on mine! =P

What I can't figure out is how to change it from a bmp file to a jpg.
