Marley and Me? Anyone seen it yet? Any reviews? I was shocked, hubby is going to take me to see it this week! |
I am dying to see this too - was suppose to see on christmas but will probably go today |
I've just seen the trailers for it. It looks cute. I don't go to movies, so I'll have to wait till it comes out in DVD. |
We are going to see it on New years eve. Someone on the radio today gave it a good review. |
I did see it yesterday. It's a great movie. Not exactly Oscar-worthy, but still a good movie and it tells a beautiful story. It is VERY sad - bring a lot of tissues. I cried like a baby at the end of it. When we were walking out, the ticket guy was collecting the other peoples' tickets and he was like "Look how red their eyes are. After the movie, go home and watch a comedy." hahaha. But yes, go see it. The only complaint I have is how rushed it seems to be. They skip a lot and jump ahead a lot. They make it work, but I would have liked to have seen more of the family, etc. |
Saw it. Loved it. Can't wait to get the DVD. We went on Christmas Day with the family. A great look at life & family. |
I read the book a few years ago. It was wonderful! I always find the movies to be a little disappointing after the book, though. I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD. |
We went on Christmas evening, first show was sold out. I loved it. It was really cute and sad. There were so many men there, good to see, and they were crying too!!! |
My son Lincoln wants to see it so bad, we both read the book last year through a thing our local Library had going on. we were going to go this weekend, but my husband has had to work this weekend:thumbdown so we have to wait till his next day off. Any one read the book?? Is it pretty close following it? |
I read the book and LOVED it. I want to see the movie but wonder how close it follows. We plan to go but don't know when yet. |
I was going to start a thread about it - but I've been busy playing in the ocean :D (nope, I'm not in Iowa anymore - at least not this week ) I went the day after Christmas - and unfortunately had not read the book. It was pretty well done (a review I read said there is less in the movie about their kids & that the movie focuses more on Marley.) I thought it was pretty well done. My daughter said there was no plot, no conflict, no antigonist -- but I said Marley was all of that. It's about real life - what we all deal with. And if you have experienced the love & loss of a furbaby the movie takes you there in an instant. My dad, agreed about it being about real life - I commented, yes so easily people throw out their animals when things get tough, my dad said "yes, or they throw away their families :( -- all so true |
I have read the book. It was very good. Christmas Night my Husband and Daughter went to see it. Brenee' said she never saw her Daddy cry before. She said it was sad but, she doesn't cry @ movies. I wish I'd gone just to see my Hubby's reaction, LOL. I'm a big cryer and knew what was going to happen. I stayed home... They both loved it though. Maybe I'll get it when it comes out on DVD> Tonight they're going to see "Nights in Rodanthe", I told them to take tissues!! Yep, I read that one too!! Yes, I'm staying home!!!!! Baron's Mom |
