Suggestions Needed, Easy To Make Christmas Gifts Hi, was wondering if there is anyone else that makes their own unexpensive Christmas Gifts for friends and family. I always have through the years made all our gifts, and totally loved it, but this year physically not being able to do much, I am a little strapped for ideas. Would like to know what others do. I did get some nice fleece for making neck scarves, NO SEWING VERY EASY, I am using the width of the fabric for the neck scarves, cutting each scarf 8 inches wide with rotary cutter, then rotor cutting the bias edge off, replacing that with a 2 1/2 to 3 inch fringe. I did only three this evening and had to quit :( I have 18 more to make. Thanks to those that post ideas, I am sure others as well as myself will appreciate your ideas :) Hugs, Patti and Jack and girls. |
Inexpensive gifts... Hello Patti, Jack and your girls, I go to Goodwill/Salvation Army and get large used vases, Fill 1/2 way with Potpurri, drop in a small string of lights. I cover the top with a small round doillie, weave any color thin ribbon through the holes, tie a bow and VOILA, a beautiful, handmade Potpurri jar for about 4-5 bucks a piece. They smell fantastic. If you use white lights the reciever can change the Potpurri with the seasons and use it year round!!! Hope this was helpful...My hubby is laid off to explain my 2 1/2 month absence!! My Baron turned 1 on Nov. 30 th. I turned 49 on Nov. 10 th.... Hope all is well with both of you!! I missed talking to you two....Have a wonderful Holiday and Let's Pray for a better New Year!!!! Blessings, Your friends, Jodi and Baron |
