My Husband grabbed something from the grocery store and said it was a madhouse yesterday. I can only imagine what it will be like today. Thank goodness I dont have to go there. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you eat lots of turkey and goodies |
We're going to my son & his fiance's tomorrow. I was supposed to bring 2 casseroles but there are 2 others I 'need' to have them try so I'll be working on 4 today. I'll get them to the point that I can put them in the oven then I'll bake them in the morning. Green bean, of course, corn pudding, Potato-Mushroom Casserole & Broc/Caul/Carrot Casserole. I love love love this time of year. |
Im in charge of 2 appetizers this year, so I will be doing the deviled eggs and ham roll ups this evening, I have to work tomorrow so I have no choice but to do them today! |

I'll be cooking turkey and two cookie cakes! (hubby birthday on the same day! lol) so 2x the work for me its like HAPPY TURKEY DAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! yay...lol |

Not I, not til tomorrow, it's just me & my husband this year --- but I'm thinking of getting up at 3:00am to set out my rolls to start rising. I don't want a replay of last year where I let my bread dough rise 6x it's normal size.:shocked7q ( i posted a pic last year of my bread. lol!!!!!! it got "rave reviews" from everyone on here.) |
I made pork meat stuffing and pork pie, a pineapple walnut cheeseball, 2 pecan pies, and a pumpkin bread last night. Tonight Im making a chocolate cream pie and date nut balls. So much baking!!! hehe :) |

I am also make two batches of cupcakes for my neices birthday. AND....YES....I have found out...I am off to the grocery store here in a minute...never fails! |
I plan on baking cookies and a fruit salad today and possibly preparing the casserole so I just have to pop it in the oven tomorrow. I work at a grocery store and just got home from work. Trust me, don't go if you don't have to! It's CRAZY!! |
I just finished baking pumpkin bread, pumpkin cheesecake and apple pie. I also got the potatoes boiled for the mashed potatoes tomorrow. Whew....:D |
I've started. We have two dinners tomorrow, one lunch, one supper. I am bringing food to both. I already have the cranberry jello salad done. Sweet potatoes are peeled for the sweet potato casserole, as are the white potatoes for the potato salad. I will make my potato salad tonight because I like cold potato salad and I'll also bake my cornbread for dressing tonight. I'll probably go ahead and mix it up and then just bake it tomorrow. I'll cook the green beans tomorrow along with the mac and cheese. For Christmas, I cook at my house and we don't go anywhere. Yayee for Christmas. Having to go two places in one day for Holidays is so tiring, although, I do love to be around family and loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving to you all at YT!!!! |

Started today also. Cornbread dressing, homemade bread and lemon squares. Also, bottle of wine chilling in the fridge!!! LOL!!! |
I started today too-chex mix, a white chocolate snack mix, jalapeno dip, and a pumpkin cheesecake. I had intentions of doing all my chopping today, but that didn't work out, so I am going to start that in the AM. I stopped at the grocery store around noon today to pick up a few last minute things-and it was a madhouse! Glad we did most of our shopping Sunday! DH is home, and we are waiting for my BIL and his GF to get here, and then we're all going out to dinner tonight! I need to get off my feet after cooking, cleaning, and running errands all day! |
Taking a break here...been in the kitchen for a while. Have my noodles and rolls done. Also my deviled eggs and my pumpkin roll. Have to go get my turkey in the oven and then make the pies, and whatever else i can do to make it easier on me in the am. |

I have made soooo far.... Picked up the cajun fried turkey (that does count, doesn't it?) 3 pans of cornbread dressing, 1 for us, 1 to take to my sister, and 1 to freeze 2 banana caramel pies, 1 for us 1 for neighbor and 2 veggie casseroles 1 for us, 1 for sister I am not making a whole lot, since it will just be me and husband at the house, I am eating again at the rehab where my sister is later that afternoon..so all I have left is 2 fruit trays, 1 for me and 1 for neighbor, and a sweet potato casserole. I told husband I am not doing the green beach & broc and rice as we never eat all that, it is a struggle to fit it all in the side by side, and I hate throwing food away, so I am just sticking to the favorites. I can make a meal out of dressing with smooshed in cranberry sauce--YUM! I love this time of year, but OMG I forget how much work it all is. I have done dishes 3 times already! |
