That happened in the theatre I was in too. :rolleyes: I thought that by catching the 10:15 show I would avoid alot of the younger-girl crowd, but boy was I wrong. (Apparently they don't enforce the city curfew for Twilight? I dunno...) The theatre erupted in squealing when RP walked was on screen for the first time. :rolleyes:

I liked the movie, there were a couple things that were changed from the book that I didn't like...like the fact that they didn't mention Jasper's talent...and a few parts of it were just a little bit cheesy. But for the most part I thought it was really good. The next one is already in the works, so I guess I'll start looking forward to and anticipating that now.

I saw the midnight show on the 21st and LOVED it! I have read all 4 books twice and am completely addicted to anything to anything Twilight related....lol I swear they sprinkled those books with crack...lol For those of you who plan to bypass the book for the movie...I suggest you read the book..it will help alot woth understanding the movie...and honestly the movie cut out alot of really great parts. They announced this morning that they definitely doing a followup movie so i am realy excited!!!

Ditto on skipping the book...not a good idea. Having read the books 3 times now, I wasn't lost, but I can easily see where someone who hasn't read them might not understand what is going on in enough detail to fully appreciate it. There were alot of aspects that the movie didn't really portray in depth, but that you kind of had to just 'know' what was going on.

Honestly i dont think she can act. She looked the part as Bella but the way she said her lines..she stuttered too much and didnt have much emotion. i dunno..just my opinion. But she is gorgeous and looked exactly how i thought bella would. I also agree with you about Rosalie, omg she looks nothing like rosalie was supposed to. She was supposed to be drop dead model gorgeous. but w.e. she played the role fine. I also think Carlisle did a good job, Emmet and Alice did great. She was very Alicy:p When she was playing baseball, kicking her leg in the air, my mom even mentioned that and when she entered by walking on a tree branch...so her! I also think the guy that played charlie was good and rob did pretty good at edward also, just a little overdramatic at times. lol I didnt like the bad guys, james was pretty good but Victoria and the other guy, did not like them for those parts. I also think they need a new director..the movie wasnt put together too well. The camera was a little shaky and bad camera angles.

i didnt read book 4 yet. The story dragged on too long lol i will get around to it when i have time tho.yea the cap artwork was funny:p

lmao my bf was making fun of james in one part when he was running, he looked silly and not scary at all. It was corny, i think that has to do with the director of the movie. :rolleyes: i wish tim burton or steven spielberg would do it:D

I wish the Cullens had more camera time..they did leave a lot of things out. i dont think any of their powers were mentioned.

Edward's and Alice's were mentioned and shown a bit. Poor Jasper totally got left out. I have to agree though...I wish you'd seen more of the Cullens.:(

I haven't seen this, but I don't think it looked very good. The dialogue was lifted straight from the book, but spoken aloud it sounded uber cheesy, lol...and I don't think that girl who played the lead can act from what I've seen.

The guy who plays Edward looks nothing like what I pictured after reading the book, so that's kind of weird...

However, I will say that I read the first Twilight book and totally heart it. So maybe I'll see the movie anyway... :D

Jasper could influence emotions.

A friend of the family's said that everyone at school was reading it. She said she got the book and I have to read it after her, and then my mom has to read it. Then, we are going to see the movie together. I think it sounds like a good book and movie.

lol yes he likes her a lot in the beginning but he denies himself that because he never had a desire for someones blood the way he did for hers and didnt know if he could control it and didnt want her in danger. But he realized he could control it after all, but it was hard for him. In the kissing scene he threw himself back cause it was too hard for him. He is a vampire after all so i guess that happened cause maybe he had a strong desire for her blood, being so close like that to her. He wants to kill her cause hes a vampire but doesnt want her to die cause he loves her and wants her to choose for herself if she wants to be a vampire or not cause its a hard life. He loves her so much and doesnt want that life for her, of being a monster. He thinks its not the type of life that she wants, whereas she doesnt care, she just wants to be with him forever lol

oo thats right. I remember in the fight scene, in the dance studio they helped calm edward down. Carlisle told him remember who you are and jasper was there and i guess helped with his emotions but anyone that didnt read the book, i guess wouldnt have known that. They shouldve mentioned it

Jasper didn't do that in the ballet studio in the book though.

i know..they changed a few things around..also i noticed in the trailer emmet was saying to edward 'shes not one of us' it was in the school parking lot. they didnt show that in the movie

My daughter went and seen it Sat. night and she was disappointed. She's reading the books and she didn't like it. She's 17 yrs. old and she said it wasn't the best acting. and the story went to fast. which i told her that the book is usually better than the movies anyways because it's more detailed. oh well for the ones that enjoyed it I'm glad.:D

I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with the meadow scene. It was such a huge, important, pivotal scene in the book. There was A LOT that was left out from that in the movie. They just layed in the grass for a few minutes :rolleyes:

I did think that they did a good job making him sparkle in the sun. I was wondering how they were going to pull that off and I thought it looked really good.

I wasn't a fan...I actually didn't really know anything about the books except it was about vampires. I wasn't interested in seeing it either but a bunch of girls from school wanted to go and see it (their 2nd time) my first--and oh my gosh I LOVED the movie! I was really skeptical but I am hooked now and can't wait to read the books! I want an Edward!

I took my neice (12yrs) for her birthday...she disappointed because "it wasn't like the book..at all" -- her words! I too told her that the books are always better....they can't make a movie that long to cover the whole book.

I think you definitely needed to read the book(s) before seeing the movie...you just knew more about what was going on. Sure, there were parts that I didn't care for or I thought just didn't fit...but DANG...it was a good movie. (course, I read thru all the movies in no time flat....shoot, I couldn't put down Twilight or Breaking Dawn)!!!:p

I agree...Rosalie....no..they needed a much better actress for that part..she was NOTHING near what she should have been...but, I guess she only had a few lines anyway. Alice was great!!! Edward was definitely NOT what I pictured...but DANG!!:dribble: I loved his expressions and how he moved is mouth!!!:fainted: I felt like a giddy school girl again! :biggrin: hahaha

Did anyone else get teary eyed at a few scenese??? I did:cool:

Can't wait for the next one to come out....my DD and I have seen clips for all of the movies on youtube.....:rolleyes::cool:
