I lost my job and I'm sad... Hi Friends, sorry I haven't been on much lately. I lost my job on Monday. I sorta knew beforehand that they were going to lay off some people, but last Friday I heard from a trustable source that I was included. So last weekend was hard and very very long. Although my boss was going to try to talk to the management to see if they could keep me, I knew there weren't many chances. Monday, I went prepared for the worse, so it didn't hit me that hard. I got a severance pay of 3 weeks, which is not that bad, plus I had 2 weeks vacation that I had accumulated. That should give me some time to take a break and think and pray to see what direction I should be heading next. Maybe it's a good time to start thinking about having kids. Also, I want to expand my handpainted items business. We'll see what happens, but I do know that if this happened it's because God has something else prepared for me. I just wanted to share it with you and also ask you to include me in your prayers. Well, I guess I might me around a little more in the next days... |

I am sorry to hear that. It is always a shock to go thru this even when you know it is coming. I was let go with no warning after 33 years and in a mid management position. It took awhile to come to terms but things do tend to work out. I will keep you in my prayers |

Aww Ellie you'll definately be in my prayers. The company I work for just released a statement that they'd be letting 53,000 people go - worldwide! :eek: The entire night shift in 3 departments at my location were told their last day would be the end of March. They were given an extemely nice severance pkg but that doesn't lessen the fear of not having a job. Vegas used to be the fastest growing city in the country and now... jobs are getting scarce.
