Has anyone ever got a Cellphone from Ebay??? Has anyone ever bought one of those Unlocked cellphones off EBay? If so, did it work ok for you? I have an old T-Mobile phone that I broke today and would just need to stick my SIM Card into a different phone. I'm not big on Gadgets or cameras, and I don't Text, I just want a phone that dials a number without too much hassle, and receives calls. Maybe has a game or 2. Thats it. I use it so seldom I even do the pay-as-I-go plan. :) |
About a year ago, I broke my phone, and I just needed something that dialed too :) so I looked around on Ebay, and found one that was for Sprint, which is who I was with at the time, and I bought it for cheap. It was in great working condition and perfect shape :) You just need to make sure it works with your cell phone company... |
:thankyou2 |
My boyfriend had the same situation...and the phone company wouldn't let him get a rebate on a new phone for another 8 months . So he bought an unlocked phone for about $75 less than the normal phone...AND...he ended up getting 5 cases, extra batteries, and a few chargers...all in excellent condition on e-bay. I would definitely recommend getting an unlocked phone on e-bay. BUT...make sure you check the rating of the seller and any negative feedback that they may have received. Hope this helps :) |
I haven't brought unlocked, but when I broke my phone a slider, the tmobile rep told me to check on EBAY and I found people selling phones within the tmobile service cheap. I ended up waiting and buying a tmobile LX from someone on here, a lot cheaper than what it is at Tmobile. |
Ok dokey folks!!! I'm being brave! I ordered one off Ebay, the seller had good feedback. It says "Works with ANY Sim Card in the World!" I'll see how it goes & let you know when I get it! Thanks guys!! :D |
Update OK! I got my phone today. It works like a charm. I just popped my SIM in and voila, ...!! I've stepped up in the world of technology too. So... now if anyone asks me, I too will recommend highly ordering an Unlocked cellphone off Ebay. I saved a ton of $ that way after my old one broke this week. |
I haven't, sorry I can't help. :( |
my fiance bought a nextel phone off ebay a few years ago and all seemed ok at first... he ended up having to call nextel because our customer info and all wasnt showing that he had to new phone with the new phones ssn and id number and all that and the lady on the phone told us that the phone wasnt registering because it had been reported stolen off a delivery truck in NY! i couldn't believe it =/ funny part is, the guy who i'm assuming did the stealing and selling, had a copy of his driver's license in the box as part of the stuffing HAHAHA how lame thankfully, nextel let him keep the phone because it was legit that it was stolen and then sold on ebay and it wasnt my fiance's fault thank goodness =] |
yup always do to get the best price:) just make sure the seller is reputable and yeah you also have to make sure the phone works with your network |
we've bought my daughter 2 phones from ebay. we have alltel and the alltel rep told us just to get a number (don't remember which one it was) by the battery and tell the alltel company. they run that number to make sure there is nothing owed from that phone. if that's clear then when you buy it and get it in the mail, We went to the alltel store and they activated it. Had good luck with 2 phones at alot cheaper price. We just emailed the person and asked for that number before we purchased that phone. But i have noticed that some people are posting that number, so you don't have to ask for it. My other daughter bought a razor off of ebay this past spring. worked good til she broke it....:thumbdown that was her fault though. hope this makes you feel more comfortable.;) |
sorry i just looked at the date..... good luck with your phone;) |
