I need some honest opinions I am not sure if this is the right section for this, but I just started selling my hair bows for little girls...I started a website and I need some honest feedback and I knew I could get it here.. I have been having a hard time with the pictures. I have also had over 7,000 hits in 3 weeks and only a few orders. I am just wondering if it is my bows, or my prices that is turning people off... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Gracies Bowtique Thanks everyone!!:D |
I think they are really pretty bows. I can't help much since I don't have any little girls in my family except for our new yorkie, Kandi. These are human girl bows, not for furbabies, right? But I did notice a couple of things. I don't see measurements. Did I just overlook them somewhere? Also, your photos are great, but I'm wondering why you chose a black and white drawing of a bow as your main graphic. I think a colored photo would be nicer there. Okay, just my opinion. The prices seem very reasonable, but I don't know the market. |
Your website is easy to navagate, your bows are cute and your prices are the same I have paid when I bought boutique bows at stride rite. It may just be because of the economy right now. I saved your link so I could buy some from you |

Thanks, yes they are for little girls...I can make smaller ones for dogs as I do for my yorkies but I thought with all of the wonderfully talented bow makers on here, why bother.... As for the black and white picture... I have messed with that darn thing until I am blue in the face.... Every other picture I put there is not centered but sits to the left and looks horrible... I cannot figure out why....I am still working on it though and hope to have it done soon....:D |

I think your bows are very very pretty. I have researched building my own website--which I haven't done yet. But here is one thing...if your name was "Gracies Designer Hair Bows for Girls" you will get more google hits than "Gracie's Bowtique". Like "Darling Dog Bows" would get more hits than "Darlin Beauxs" I agree with Chachi that the economy has a lot to do with it, too. People don't have money for all the little extras. My e-bay sales dropped by almost 1/3 Sept vs. Oct. The only thing that is a constant (and has improved)...are my sales to YT members! Are there sites for parents who like boutique clothes you can post on? Have you checked out 4WT? |
I think people just aren't buying extra stuff right now. Your website is very pretty though! |
I like it......I would like to see the korkers more fluffy/full....even if you had to add a dollar or so, but that is just me. I saved the site also to order in the future. I use the poney o's ( poneytail streamers ) almost every school day for my 5 year old....I need a few more colors. I like the really big bows and the 4-5" 3 layered bow with emblishments. If you want to play around I have seen some really cute bows with just a tad of maribu feathers under the the top layer/loops. I need to sit down long enough to learn how to do these....its one important step I get lost at everytime! Anyway, I like your site and prices. Angie |
Ok, so I did some updating.....I have a new template and more bows.....Check it out and see if you like the changes....There are many more items to come.....:D |
