I have a thyroid problem and have to take a daily thyroid pill, if I don't take it I really feel stupid, I can't remember anything, and learning something new is very difficult for me. I also understand what it's like to be prettier than I am now, mainly because I'm old, and truthfully there are some good things about not being pretty. Not many though.

So lets say the pretty is Anne Nicole. Would you still pick pretty?

I'll take smart. I think that beauty is something attained. My average looking friends are some of the most beautiful people i know. Plus i'm a nerd. :D

This is a pretty good question! Luckily for me I was blessed with both. I wouldn't consider myself drop dead gorgeous, but I think I'm above average. I consider myself intelligent being that I'm in grad school for mathematics.

SO, if I had to give one up? I'd rather keep my intelligence than my looks. I think my overall life would be much more fulfilling and I honestly don't like having to figure out if some dude likes me because of my looks or because of who I am.

Her intelligence seemed average, around 100. Trying to think of someone very smart with average looks, maybe Gloria Allred or Marilyn Vos Savant.

Ugly men have it harder than they use to, women are more attentive to men's looks today, than they were when I was young. Even the male movie stars, seem to have to have it all, face and body, years ago, face was enough. Only a few had good bodies, but I didn't know that until I was much older.

I've been complimented that I was a smart woman by several men in my lifetime which I took to heart and I've been told by many that I was very pretty and photogenic.

I would say intelligence. Beauty may fade but intelligence is forever.

Ugly men fair better because men are much more shallow than us women. We can see past the exterior, where they are much more visual.
That being said, typically ugly men fair better if they make a lot of money. I would think it might be true for ugly women if they are loaded as well. I would not want a good looking guy with me for my money though.

Condalezza Rice is pretty in an average way...and HUGHLY intelligent.

I'll take an ugly man....with $$$$. ;)

At least until dementia sets in.

If you have a really good plastic surgeon, your looks can last longer than your intelligence, lol.
