Nicknames Anyone?? I was emailing an old friend today and he called me by the nickname he came me and it got me thinking about all the different names we aquire throughout our lifes....I'm sure I am not the only one with nicknames...so come on spill the beans.... Here are mine: K-Mo : My friends in college gave me this, they thought it was funny and it just kind of stuck... Kris : Those who know me really well call me this... Swim Girl : For some reason in high school I got this name, it was never one of my favorites, but what can you do!?! OK your turn!! |

squirt & ikkabod - what my mom called me as a kid (ikkabod was a play on my name nikki and a name only my mother is a loud to call me) Little car & little coche - My last name was carr (before marriage) I had an older brother who everyone called carr in high school so when i got there i became little car. The second one was by my brothers college friends (coche is spanish for car) Psycho-accidently stabbed someone in the hand (long story PM me if you wanna know) Crazy Nikki - one frat house i hung out at had 5 nikki's we all had nicknames. I got to be crazy nikki because i'm a bit of a spaz Smurfett-Drinkin blue koolaid & gin in college so my entire mouth was blue and someone mentioned it looked lik i had "had relations" w/papa smurf....therefore i was dubbed smurfette. |
My most common nickname that just about all my friends and family call me by is Nobie (short for nobella). But I get B, Belle, Bella, Nobe and girly. |
LOL. I have a few. One of my brothers calls me "Pildora" which means "Pill" I have no idea why! My dad calls me Muņeca "Doll" And the rest of my family calls me "V" cause that is the first letter of my first name. :rolleyes: |

In high school, my sister and I were in a lot of the same things- cheerleading, etc. I used to call her "Jenny" joking around so she started calling me "Suey" (yes-like the pig call!) Because we were together quite a bit, many of her friends and my friends picked up on that and the name stuck. One of my best friends still called me that until a few years ago, and my sister still occasionally calls me this. My mom and bf call me "Sus" and my sister calls me "Snoop" or "Sue". |

My brother used to call me Heffer (instead of Heather) when we were little which I hated!! My main nickname that everyone in my family calls me and really close friends still, is Nickel and in 5 cents. Reason being is that my middle name is Nicole and when I was little and people would ask me what my name was I would say Kelly Nickel. Cause I couldnt say Nicole right. Ever since I could talk everyone has called me Nickel. The name stuck more when I got my first blue ribbon at a horse show on a horse that I named Nickel Plated Lady. Other nicknames that I have are, Short-Im five two barely and my brothers are all over six two. Psycho-Dont wanna know, involves my best friend Louis and Im not talking Louis Vuitton more like Louisville Slugger. PM me if you really wanna know. Pit Bit**- I grew up in a racing family and I have always been in the pits. I am the number keeper, the food getter, the sweat wiper, the etc etc etc. |
Most people just call me Em. They pretty much have my whole life. My neices and nephews OCCASIONALLY call me Auntie Em but I hate it so they don't get away with it for long. (They think it's funny since we live in Kansas. Most of the time if they catch me in a good mood I'll ask if they've seen Toto.) ;) I hate to admit this but since I technically don't know any of you personally I will, but not too many people know this one. My dad used to call me Schmidlap when I was real little. I have NO idea why but he did. He even did it at my wedding rehearsal!!!! :eek: |
Nick names, boy I've got a million of them!!! My name is Cynthia Ellen. No one has ever used the two names together. A friend in HS used to call me Ellen when she was teasing me. My best friend in school called me China Doll (boy, I wore a lot of makeup!) My best friend in college called me by my last name only. My boyfriend in college called me: Blue Eyes (usually accompanied by a wolf whistle :rolleyes: ) My silly friends at the CPA firm called me Hound Dog cause they said I could really sniff out all the errors in our audits! One of my best friends now calls me 'The Little Capri Girl' cause I love to wear capris in the summer. Hubby calls me: Cynfie...Cindy My sister calls me: Cynfie...Sista My dad calls me: Cyn-Cyn...Cindy...Cindy-Girl My mom calls me: Cyn-Thia with a little up-note at the end like a refined old lady when she's teasing me. |

I have so many nicknames.. One of my college ones I can't say cause its not too appropriate so here is my list.. MINIKESS: In high school. my dad was my softball coach.. Mostly the usual for Laura, Laura loo, Lulu and stuff like that. At work I am Loz or Lozza and my old school group called me 'the professional skirt'. We all had a 'the professional' something nickname and I got mine for rolling my uniform skirt the shortest. Trust me, I much prefer trousers now! :p |
i am a teacher, so some of these are from my kids Mae (pronounced may): my mom called me this since i was little Orin: my friends call me this because of the artwork i do Ms. Sweety: One of my kids called me this for so long because i called her sweety at the begining two days because i didnt know everyoens name yet Mrs. Clair : some of my kids call me this because they cant say my last name, because of this i switched to using my first name (acceptable in preschool) ms. amaaaannnnnnnnnda: lol. this little girl (i am getting her back this year) calls me this... she sorta "lengthens" the middle part of my name, it is so cute ms manda: for kids who cant pronounce teh begining A there have been soooooooo many more, i really need to write down the ones form school because there is no way i can remember them all with so many kids |
