We've finally had a few stop by but still nowhere near as many as we had last year. It's almost 9 here, so I'm assuming they're getting close to done.:( |
here it rained... so NO one came, not even one!!!!!!!!!! |
I think people are starting to have parties and such instead of going out. |
i took off work to give out treats. i'm totally bummed. not many kids out. the weather is nice and it's a friday! i bought over 300 pieces of candy and had about 50 kids come. |
We have pretty much none too. |
It's 7:30pm here and I've had about a dozen. I live in apartments, we never get that many. You guys can send me the leftovers!!! :D |
All of the Trick or Treaters must have been in our neighborhood. The police have to monitor the area. All roads become one way and barricades are put up. It took my husband l5 minutes from when he turned into our subdivision to get to our house. We are the 6th house. When we decided to go out to eat it was almost 20 minutes to get from our house down the street and out of the neighborhood. We took our time eating and then came back. The situation was much improved. I am guessing we had over 1,000 trick or treaters plus their adults. We used to pass out candy but any more it is just a joke. It would probably take l0 bags of candy and that is just one piece per person. It is more exciting to just turn our lights out and enjoy each other and the furbabies. |
The big kids come out here when it gets late, gets a little scary sometimes because the older kids are rude and a tad aggressive sometimes. |

We don't bring our kids trick or treating and none of my friends do. I guess some people around here might, I don't know, we just moved here. We go to our church for it. On top of the fact that you just never know who your getting candy from (don't we always teach our kids not to take candy from strangers?), I find that with trick or treating you run into: other trick or treaters with very bad language, other trick or treaters (adults or teens) that are showing off way too much of their bodies, cold kids and a sore back! Up here its usually wet and freezing out (this year we were fortunate) and I am usually carrying a baby either on my hip or inside of me (or both, lol!). I just avoid it all and go to my church where it safe, warm, and familiar. Plus the kids like it more, so it works for us! |
I'm really dissapoinnted:( The thing I like the most about Halloween is the trick or treaters, so I get my bags of candy and love when the door bell rings!, but this year....let's just say that I'm stuck with a whole lot of candy, and the worst part is that I don't like cady, but hubby will take care of it he has a sweet tooth and loves reeses (I bought 2 bags of them one for the trick or treaters and one for him):p I guess the trick or treaters in my area are growing up....:( |
We probably had about a hundred kids. We still have candy left over, though. I guess I'll just have to eat it all myself. lol One thing I could not get over this year, is how polite they all were. All said thank you, have a good night, or happy halloween. It was a real pleasure, as we have had some really rude kids in the past. There was little or no damage in the neighbourhood, no pumkins smashed, no windows soaped, it was a great evening! |
Sniff - We didn't have a single trick or treater. Same last year. Guess I will stop buying pencils now. Years ago I stopped giving out candy and started giving out pretty pencils. The kids loved them. But now, there are no kids coming. Sniff! At least Tink wasn't wearing herself out barking at the door!;) |
We did not have one but my DH will eat the candy. Somewhere in our neighborhood there was a fight at 3AM, woke us up, guess they had a good party. |
