Cindy Sheehan Vigils? Anyone else going to a Cindy Sheehan candlelight vigil tonight? I am going with a lot of friends and family here in San Diego. If you want to find one in your area just go to Moveon.org or Meetwithcindy.org. Peace :) |
Anyone on the East coast go to one? |
Oh, Kim.....(sigh). |
We had one here in Oklahoma that I really wanted to go to, but I found out about it too late to make it to it. I was kind of upset. She's swiftly becoming one of my heroes! :) |

I applaud what she is doing. I think that someone needed to make the war personal and bring the issues that the media has the tendency to hide to the American public. I think that she has guts, and is willing to stand up for what she believes in. That, IMO, makes her a good person. |
I feel very bad that she lost her son. But then I feel very bad for every family that lost a loved one. |
I am sorry but I must be out of the loop... Who is cindy sheehan |
She lost a son in the war and basically wants the war ended and to speak to Bush. |
I think instead of standing around with candles, people should try to make change. |

I hope this war comes to an end soon! I have my fiance over there and everyday I worry about him. I hope he comes home safe. :( :( |

And Kristy- I agree with you 100%. Sometimes people just need motivation, and things like this can be a good starting point for activism. |
I hope so too PrincessGracie. Please tell your fiance that a lot of people here are thinking about him. I saw some troops on the Today Show this morning. Matt Lauer was interviewing them. Definitely brought me to tears. |
It was a moving experience and very peaceful. We sang and said prayers and remembered those who were lost in the war and then we shared information for what is happening in our community and how we can get invloved in the peace movement. If you really want to support the troops please join the movement to bring them home NOW! |

I hate to say it but if it were me, and I lost one of my brothers, I would be standing right beside her. Why fault some one for taking a stand?? She lost her son, that to me gives her the right to stand on the presidents steps until she gets some sort of gratifacation no matter how long that takes. |
