Pot roast? So, I've had a pot roast in the crock pot all day and my little crew here is going nuts for it. Would it be alright to give them a few bites of it with their dinner? I'm making green beans too and they looove those. I usually put warm water over their dry kibble for their dinner but can I use some of the beef juice instead or would it be too fatty? I didn't use any salt/pepper or spices in the pot roast so it's just plain meat and meat juices. Maybe, to be on the safe side, I should just use warm water and ad a couple bites of beef and a few green beans. |
My hubby always gives our boys a couple of bites of meat like pot roast. I dont' think it will hurt them at all. I wouldn't use the roast broth, unless the roast was very very lean, and they usually aren't. BUt a couple of bites should be fine. |
Pot roast and Yorkies... I so hear you on this... Our Mandy smells it all day and about the time I take it out to set before carving or if I leave it too long pulling lol... she is right underfoot waiting for me to drop just something... please please you can just see it in her little face! It is almost as bad as the husband saying is it done yet! lol We have given her a little .. silly us.. or she would never have known what she was missing! She did well after... I just make sure to avoid the salt and pepper and any spices! |
