Puppy belly buttons?
 
Hi my friends! Ok, bear with me if this is to silly/weird/ or whatever you want to call it. Do doggies have belly buttons like people do? Puppy watch threads got me thinking, they have unbilical cords, so maybe they have belly buttons????? Yes I know, my doggie ignorance is pretty high when it comes to small details. :aimeeyork

No, dogs don't have belly buttons. After the cords falls out the hole closes up. Sometimes it doesn't and instead leaves a bump which is called a hernia which should be removed when they are spayed/neutered. So no they don't have belly buttons.

Well of course they do. All three of mine do and they definately aren't hernia's. ;) You can barely feel them, but oh so cute. I LOVE those little belly's and buttons hehe!!

They do have belly buttons, because I thought it was their spay scar but the vet said no, it was their little belly button!! My little boy's is more visible!!

Mine seriously don't have belly buttons that are visible.

No they don't look like our belly buttons cause their cords are so small. They are tiny and you have to look to find them. But if they have a cord they have to have a belly button.

Both my girls have belly buttons! I thought I was crazy when I read the first 2 posts. Glad to hear what I've always thought was their belly buttons really IS a belly button!!
