Calling all teachers... So, I have a teacher question. I'm wondering...for those of you who aren't married (or for those of you who are, before you were married) did you go by Ms. or Miss at school? I'm in graduate school for art education and I just started student teaching. The teacher I'm working under asked me if I wanted to be Ms. or Miss...so I decided on Ms. I'm 24 and I just didn't like the idea of going by Miss. Alas, the kids say Miss anyway, haha. Ashley |
Hey Ashley. I'm 25 and I go by Miss. Only because they are going to say that anyways, and I honestly don't care what they call me. I'm sure even when i'm married they will still call me Miss... actually i'm sure of it.. because my mom's students always called her Miss even though she was a Mrs. I am also an art teacher (well.. one day ;) ) |
Thanks marcerella02! I'm just glad they don't call me Mrs., haha. Yay, another art teacher! :) What grades do you plan on teaching? Ashley |

Before I got married I went by Miss and after, Mrs. Im certified k-8, but specialize in middle school science and art. |
All the kids call me Miss I'm 49 and married and I'm in a high school. ( I bet behind my back i'ts something worse):eek: |
My sister (long married) works with kids and used to be a teacher. All of the kids call her Miss Kate and that seems to suit her just fine. I think it's hard for little ones to get the difference between Miss and Mrs. |
