Red Tree leaves closeup... (what kind of tree is this?)...it did not turn gold or yellow, but rather turned red...so this is it's Fall color (it was green all summer)... (hubby had the date stamp on!!:eek: )

Here are some pictures I took yesterday in the mountains in upstate South Carolina. The colors were beautiful!

This was a covered bridge about 20 minutes from our house. We have lived here almost 21 yrs and didn't even know it was there.

This house was WAAAYYYY up high on the mountain. I have a 10X zoom on my camera, but I was still surprised the picture turned out this good. I would love to live in this house.

Now that I think about it, I really like to see autumn leaves, but only in pictures, or vacations, .. not on my back yard :p ..but still beautiful, we don't see that shape on the leaves here.

Those pictures are beautiful, the first one looks like a painting, it's so perfect, look how many colors...thank you for posting them

Oh man!! I was gonna ask if you want to come up & help rake. :D ... They're pretty for sure ...Maple I think. I asked my hubbie if these are the kinds of trees we can make syrup from but he doesn't know. He just says I ask the most interesting questions. :rolleyes:

It is just starting to come alive here in North Carolina! I love the colors of Fall too! My hubby and I took a drive this past weekend and I took these shots for you to see!

Love the last one, we don't see those changes here,the colors are so bright..

I would love to be driving up thru Vermont & upstate NY about now. I think there is even a parkway that's maped out for those wishing to see the very best of fall. We do have a few maple trees scattered around that are just beautiful in the fall that I'll take pictures of and post them. I always decorate inside with all the colors of fall. My favorite time of year.
