Good news and bad news
 

We are all moved in to our new (to us) house and loving it more and more every day. I am a bit closer to work and the house is much bigger than our old one.

The bad news is that the day after we moved in my big brother died. It was this past Saturday. He was at work and just keeled over. He was kept on life support for a week but he was brain dead. They don't know what happened other than he lost oxygen to his brain. They had to do CPR but they got him breathing again before they took him to the hospital. There was no heart damage or blood clots so who knows. I am just beside myself. I am back at work for the first time since I took off to move and I can't concentrate. I need to go ahead and take a bereavement leave (three days) like everyone is telling me to do. The funeral is the day after tomorrow. Last night I had to find pictures of him as a child for his memory board. I could hardly do it. Monte was my protector and chief cheerleader as I grew up. When we both ended up divorced in the same year we became best friends and ran around together in the same circle of friends. We have always shared likes and dislikes.

I have missed checking in every day to see how everyone is - especially that darling little chihuahua Emma. She has gotten a lot bigger in a week and a half!

My dogs are acting like the world has come to an end between having to move into an unfamiliar house and Mommy crying all the time.

Pray for me and my family guys. I don't know how we will get through all of this but we will have to. YT prayers always help.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your brother. It sounds like you had an incredibly close relationship. What wonderful memories you must have....some time they won't bring the tears they do now.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear brother.. your post was so heartbreaking and hit me hard.. for I lost my sister 8 years ago.. and I was so close to her and she was always my defender, friend and sister..
Praying hard that you can heal somewhat and move on with your life. I will not tell you it is an easy task to do however. I believe he will always be near you and he will still watch over you girlie.. sending hugs.. anne
