We do NOT have bedbugs!!! My husband is driving me crazy! He keeps telling me and anyone that will listen that we have bedbugs! No, we DON'T. Long story short.... He has bites that keep showing up on his legs--maybe 3 or 4 a week. It seems very clear to me that they are mosquito bites. He goes outside and chats with the neighbors late in the afternoon several times a week when mosquitos are out. I'm not getting them...just him. They look NOTHING like pics of bed bug bites. I have searched the bedroom (and couch and other areas) several times for the signs and there is NOTHING to indicate there are any in the house. I have pointed this out to him. He then insist that it has to be fleas then. I just say, "Yes, that's right, our home is overrun with fleas and they have miraculously stayed of the dogs altogether." DUH! He is driving me CRAZY with this claim that we have these bedbugs when we clearly do NOT! Ok, just needed to vent a minute, I feel better now. |
If it makes you feel any better, I was outside at night on Saturday in capris and flip flops, and I have quite a few bug bites on my ankles and lower legs now. And we don't have bed bugs either, lol. |

Vent away, ask him if he thinks it is his nerves.. they can have funny reactions and some people itch a lot.... Tell him to stay inside when the mosquitos are out for a few days.. to prove you point.. me are generally pretty hard headed tho.. it is might take some coaxing to get him to listen to you.. anne |
The mosquitoes are really biting now here. Last week I was outside and I had alot of bites. If hes been outside they arre mosquitoe bites. I am getting ready to go to Florida. I hope they arent bad there:( |
Just tell him: "You are absolutely right, dear!" and then ask him to call the terminator... IME whenever a thing starts to cause work it silently disappears... LOL! |

I do think that when he says that, people look at him like he's a nut. (Especially when I stand behind him making faces.) :p |

If you have bed bugs, why don't you have bites? |
There you go, tell him that he needs to get a new mattress and bedding and ........oooh new carpet or new flooring! And the babies will need new beds too, you may have seen them itch once LOL!!!!!!! |
:p I fully support your theory, here's why: We had dinner with friends last night. We ate on the patio and were having a pleasant visit when all of a sudden Trish jumps up and said "lets move into the house, these mosquitos are eating me alive!" Heather, her daughter, agreed and we moved into the house. I said "that's weird, nothing bit me". They showed their huge welts from mosquito bites! :) Soooo ... yep, I agree, he's got mosquito bites and you don't! ;) |

about 9 yrs ago i moved in with my aunt and she went to the hospital with severe bites all over her they couldn't fig out what it was well she let it go and was moving to a new house.well when they put her matress in the truck we seen it was infested with bed bugs:eek::eek:. She would hang her laundry out on a line to dry but lived in a duplex kinda place so i assume thats how she got them well when moved back home i noticed i was getting bites on my arms and legs and couldn't figure out what was going on, We checked my bed and found nothing my family thought i was crazy till one night i got up to go pee and looked at my arm and there was a bug on me:eek: I freaked out got my parents up and showed them. I had a water bed so we went in my room and pulled back the bed and behold there were bed bugs there that weren't there before. We found out that the wood in my water bed was the perfect nesting area for them, they got in there from when i was staying with my aunt. We sprayed and bombed but the little suckers would not die they would climb the walls to the ceiling to avoid the poisen it took 3 bombs and about 2 months to get rid of them. BTW the only time to really see them is at night and the babies are clear and very hard to see. You have to retreat 2 weeks later to kill any eggs that hatched it's a nightmare so hopefully this is not what you have and let hubby read this LMAO maybe he will decide it's not bed bugs hahahahahaha!!! edited to add ..... don't want to scare you lol but.... my aunts hubby didn't get bit he slep in the same bed and she was covered with bites, also i was the only one in my mom's house being eaten alive as well lol.. |
