What should i do? I have this big loft bed i want to get rid of, it takes up like half of my room, its high up too but when you're on it you have enough space to almost stand. It makes my room look smaller and darker though but my mom doesn't want me to get rid of it. We got it like 10 yrs ago for almost $1000. Should i try to sell it or have someone just come and disarm it? It is a wood loft bed btw..and can fit 2 twin sizes matresses or a king and still there is plenty extra space.. |
If you are really seriously getting rid of it, I would try and sell it. Apts in NY are small so your bed sounds like a spacesaver. They say that one mans trash is another mans treasure! I once sold our old dented mailbox at our yard sale for $2.00. Hubby never laughed at me for trying to sell anything again. |
I ran an add for bunk beds a number of years ago and we had so many calls on them that it drove me bananas. I could have sold a hundred. So I'm sure your loft bed will go very quickly. I'd ask at least $800.00 and not go down in price. Take any prospective buyers name and phone # and their offer, and let them know if it doesn't sell you will sell to the highest bidder. |

Sounds cool, but I can see where you would get tired of it after a while. (All my life I wanted a water bed and when I finally got one at 20 I hated it and wanted to get rid of it after about a month.) |
If you want money for it, then this won't work, but if you don't want any, then you might try freecycle.org. It's a really neat program. People post things they don't want anymore (or that they need). It brings a whole new meaning to "One man's trash..." But if you want money, then I guess cragislist or something! Good luck! :) |
