Just wanted to let you all know I dont know when ill be able to be on line again. We got the after effects from Ike, blustery winds, we are having a Blackout. the main power place caught fire and every things down, My daughter just got her power back on so I was able to use her computer to get on. There have been 5-6 deaths that we know of so far. We have trees down, my house is a mess, siding, shutters and skirting all has been ripped off from the winds, trees are uprooted and or leaning. My moms and daughters house has part of the roofs ripped off. We are all safe though, thank God!!!we have been going out to the cars to listen to the radio, to find out whats happening.they say 3- 7 days some places and 3 weeks with out power for others. with out electric we also have no water or ac.
My computer is burnt up, not sure when I can replace it. stores, banks, gas stations, schools and work places are all closed.
We had lots of out of town company here for my Hubby's Birthday Party when it started, they had a heck of a time getting home, My was stuck on the road, ran out of gas and nothing open, hes home safe now. we had over 40 people here with us. Maybe ill be able to check in from time to time. we have few candles and oil lamps so we will be ok , the fur-babies are all fine. Hope all is back to normal soon.
So If I dont answer your PM's and or emails this is why. Ill get back to you when I can.

I am so sorry about all your damage, but glad everyone is okay. We had some wind damage in Kentucky, yesterday, but nothing like what you are talking about. Take care......

My brother, friends and co-workers are still without power tonight. Last I heard they are hoping to have power restored anywhere from 24hrs for some up to this weekend for others!
They had to bring back crews they sent to Texas to help with Ike and additional crews from NC.
It's a mess! It's so strange how mid-west Ohio got such a beating from the aftermath of a hurricane in Texas!

We got our Power back on. I thought it would take days. YAY!!! Im so happy to have it back. it was going on and off awhile ago. but now it seems to be back for good. I hope. My daughter said I could use her computer , so thats what i'm going to do until I get mine replaced. Man that sux that I lost it. I paid alot of money for that one. This is the 2nd time I have lost a computer because of power outage. even having a surge protecter did not help. Oh well Im back. DH out side picking up the yard. what a mess. we have to have the whole back side of our house fixed. and a few places in the front. and my poor trees.:mad: But we are all safe, thats all that matters. :D

so glad you got power back! I was just going to add that they told us here that i would be without power for weeks, and we got it back in 8 days, so we were very happy! I think they put a longer time frame on it so that people dont drive them nutso.... so glad you and your family are safe!

Oh, I'm so glad you got your power back on, that was quick!
My brother still doesn't have power and the kids are off school again tomorrow!
