Birth Control - I am SOOOOO confused So I just started taking Birth Control ..... Femcon - and everything was great. The first 2 days I had a slight headache - but nothing crazy. No that I am in the third week of the pills I started spotting :confused: And its been going on for about 5 days now. Is this normal? How long should I wait to go back to my Dr if I need something else? I am TRULY confused. Anything would be helpful.... :D:D |
When I first went on the pill years ago I remember it did take my body a few months to catch onto what was going on. I had spotting for a little while and then it all settled down. I wouldn't worry too much unless it gets worse. But if you're really concerned I'd speak with your Doctor if I were you. It might be that this particular brand isn't the right one for you and that you need to switch. Jess :heart to |
Thats what im nervous about....I was soooo glad that it didnt make me nauseous im afraid he will prescribe something stronger that will. I guess i'll just wait and see. |
I'd say a few months until your body is used to what is going on. |
Yep, it can take a while for your body to get in sync- up to three months I believe. It's a pain- I know. |
You've got to wait a few months. The same thing happened to me when if first started and I freaked out and called the doctor. She was very sweet and said that it takes 3-4 months for your body to adjust to the medicine and that long list of possible side effects may occur in those months before your body has properly adjusted. So just be patient. If anything SERIOUS happens though make sure to talk to your doctor. Oh, as a word of warning, those first few months I was a TOTAL b*tch, and everyone I know that's gone on any form of the pill had a similar reaction.  So don't freak out if you notice a little bit of a change for a few weeks to a few months. :D :p |
I don't take pills, because when I first try, I got morning sickness, and frequent bleeding. I switch to the injected one, and I lost most of my hair. I have being on the patch for two years, and far, I don't have any headakes, and I feel great. Have you thought about, other methods? |
