As if the pet food wasn't bad enough! Look at this!! There's that protein reading again that produces higher value through the addition of Melamine.

Unbelievable! When are we (that's collective) going to learn?

FDA issued a Health Information Advisory to consumers and healthcare professionals regarding milk-based infant formula manufactured in China. The Chinese manufactured infant formula may be contaminated with melamine. Melamine artificially increases the protein profile of milk and can cause kidney diseases. Currently, no Chinese manufacturers of infant formula have fulfilled the requirements to sell this product in the United States. FDA officials are investigating whether or not infant formula manufactured in China is being sold in specialty markets which serve the Asian community. Caregivers should not feed infant formula manufactured in China to infants and should replace any product from China with an appropriate infant formula manufactured in the United States. Individuals should contact their health care professional if they have questions regarding their infant’s health or if they note changes in their infant’s health status.

I tell ya, I won't even buy dog snacks from China. Once I picked some up accidentally and my dogs pooped Green Diarrhea for days afterwards. So I always make sure NOTHING is from CHINA that I feed my babies, dog or human.

I am NOT a fan of ANYTHING from China anymore...not since I became aware of their live animal skinning... amongst other things...:thumbdown:mad:

Neither am I!!! But, until everyone in this country, that feels the same way, ban together and SERIOUSLY, stop buying anything made in China ... nothing is going to change!!! It's our money that buy the products and the only way to get anyone's attention, is to stop buying it!! I just always check and it it's "made in China", simply put it back and don't buy it ... I know it's not much, but if everyone in this country that feels that way would do it, just think what a difference it would make??!

I agree with that too...I tell everyone I can about China's barbaric acts..i'm trying to spread the word in my own small way....;)

I totally agree and I always try to check where the things I buy are made. Have you noticed that sometimes it is hard to find things that aren't made in China?
