Mandatory evacuation on my zip code due to Ike I'm stressed out already!!I've been cleaning up the back yard and porch, some of my neighbors have already gone, I went to work, but were told to go back home and prepare b/c we need to evacuate. Husband won't be home until noon. I'm going to start getting ready to do the inside as far as packing the irreplaceable things and of course the things for the dogs and cats. Mandatory evacuation starts at noon, but we won't be leaving until later since hubby gets off @ noon. There is a bayou a couple of blocks from the house. I hope my house doesn't flood. We are supposed to get the dirty side of Ike. Let me get going....:animal37:animal37:animal37 |

Praying for you and your family....and home |
I am praying for you and your family. I hope ya'll stay safe. My family is huddled together at my sister's house in Kingwood. My mom is worried her house in Katy will be damaged also. The projection shows the eye going right thru Katy. |

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I grew up in Florida and weathered many terrible hurricanes - I know how scary it can be. Please be careful and stay safe. |

Good luck! Stay safe. |
Oh man. I hope everyone will be ok. Sometimes I wonder if sitting in traffic trying to get out is really better than just staying put... but then again.. it's just all bad. :( Thats one thing I don't miss about living near the Gulf Coast. I remember all the preparations when I was a kid. But as a kid I just thought it was fun cuz I could buy snacks like Marshmallows and candy to tide us over if the elect. went out. When I got older I heard that Masking Tape is the life saver and remember always using a ton of it on glass windows & patio doors in my apartments. I sure do feel for everyone down there and I'll keep you all in my thoughts. Take them backroads & be safe! ;) Is Villette still online today? Are you evacuating? |
