Some Vacation Pictures!
 
OK there are a lot of them so i apologize for that. :p the first few are of when we were by the bay. my brother and i went crabbing, thats on the first day. i'm going to have to make some posts to finish off the pictures. :D hope you like 'em!! (the weird kid staring at the boat on the bay is my brother kevin ;) )

ok scratch all of that!!! i'm making it a folder and attaching the link. hang on i'll have it done in a few minutes!

ok these are the last ones. we found out that my friend cassidy's parents own a house 2 doors down from the one we rent. so we hung out all week. these pictures are of me and her. i'm the one in pink , she's in blue.
thanks!! i start school september 7th. i hate my brother because he's going into high scool and has off a week longer than me!! :mad: lol.

ok i lied!! i have some more!! these are of the beach.

i have to tell you!! today cassidy and i had quite a scare. we were out in the water and the under toe (sp?) was REALLY strong. we went out pretty far not knowing, and all of the sudden we were stuck. cassidy was further out than me, but i couldn't stand where i was. kevin was in the water "helping me" well, he was trying anyway. he is like 6 or 7 inches taller than me, and he was like you can stand here, maybe HE could but I couldn't. in the mean time i was yelling for him to go get cassidy because she was pretty far out. i guess he didn't hear me. i turned around to see if she was ok and her mom went out to try to help her. finally i had gotten to a place i could stand and the life guards went in to help cassidy and her mom. we were all out of breath and tired, but had a good laugh about it later.

dianne-thanks! we were in ocean beach, on the jersey shore. our family has been going there since before i was born, so its a part of me in a crazy kind of way.

Hi Megan, welcome back. It looks like you had a great time. I was wondering which beach it was too. My grandparents had a house on Long Beach Island so we went there every summer...still do but now we have to rent. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

lol looks liek u had fun, but dont u know how to swim without touching the ground :confused: u dont hav to answer j/w

As you now know, undertows can be really strong and you can't fight them. Many people have drowned trying.

What you have to do is swim parallel to the shoreline until you are out of the undertow. Then you can swim back in to shore. As long as you are still in the current you will be pulled farther out. Swimming parallel will take you out of the current that is pulling you out to sea. Then you can ride the waves back in.

I know you must have been scared to death!! I'm so glad you're okay!

Are you home now and then off to camp next week? Have a great time, but be careful-you've got me worried now!
