Does anyone make pottery? Does anyone here make pottery? If so.. What do you call those things that you use to make tiles.. kind of like a press? Does anyone know where I can buy one? I've been looking everywhere but can't remember what they are called. |
I used to do this in my last life. I was a bisque supplier for contemporary ceramic studios. I believe you are looking for an extruder, they have dies for different shapes. Or, perhaps you are talking about a slab roller? North Star Pottery makes both of these at reasonable prices for the hobbiest or semi-professional. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll try to help, I did more slab rolling than extruding, and I slip-cast tiles a great deal, as well. |

Probably not what you were looking for, but..... My son enjoys pottery, so I asked him, but he didn't know either. I googled it, and although I doubt this has the answer, I thought it was pretty interesting! Making Ceramic Tiles |
