Aurgh...I am soooo UPSET!!! I HATE FEDEX!!!!!!:thumbdown:thumbdown What else can I do?? I had to have my camera worked on...and when I asked what shipping they used, they said they only used FedEx...:eek:...knowing the problems we have had w/ FedEx in the past....I tried to get another shipping, but couldn't! NOW, my camera (which was needed for my DD's volleyball game on Tuesday and today) is still NOT here!!!:mad: I have tracked it every day...it has been "on the truck" since Aug. 30th!!! Each day, the driver logs "attempted but no one home"....and that is CRAP! (sorry) The problem is, this BOY wants to get home and apparently can't drive here to deliver a package! I have had the FedEX tracking up and just now, when I refreshed it, it said "attempted, blah, blah blah" at 6:30pm...what a bunch of BS!!! I have been home all week waiting for my camera!!! The first call I made, FedEX said that since there was no tag left on the door, that the driver must have been at the wrong house. Which, I told them he always does this...it never fails! They quoted my address..and it was correct. Today, I told them that this driver KNOWS this address because we go thru this EVERY time we have a FedEX package!!! Today...I was given the run around again! I called the camera place in hopes that they could call FedEX and get this taken care of, but the person I needed was already gone. I called FedEX and the person I needed was already gone. So...I guess I will try these tomorrow...BUT what else can I do? This guy does NOT need to be on this route if he is not going to make his deliveries. I can't even count on my hands the number of times he has done this....hence the reason why we specifically ask when we order things NOT to ship FedEX.... I am soooooo PO'ed right now! Does anyone know what else I can do?????? PLEASE!!!! |
Gosh, Jen, I am sorry that you are having troubles. I dont know what else you can do except maybe calling the head office and keep complaining. Now... if we all lived closer we could all get in our cars, find him and circle him with our cars and FORCE him to drive to your house:rolleyes: |
Yes, definitely call the head office ... I'd let them know what you'll be home between X:00 and X:00 and if the camera doesn't show up, you're filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. I'm so sorry this is happening to you ... it must be maddening! |
Thanks everyone! I called the camera place this morning...and at first, they were of no help, but I kept at 'em! :biggrin: First, they wanted to charge a $10 fee to have the package shipped to a different location (in hopes that would help)...I was upset because I had told the person (and I had her name, time I spoke w/ her, etc written down --- believe me, I have learned to keep track when dealing w/ FedEx)....anyway, I had told this person before about our problems w/ FedEx and I needed a different shipment option (which there was none)...so I didn't feel it was my place to have to pay a fee to get help w/ this now....when I knew there would be a problem with FedEx. Anyway, the camera place called the main guy over my local FedEx place. She gave him all the details and had given him my "log" of all the calls I have made to FedEx regarding this delivery, etc. She called me back and said this guy was very upset and that the package would be here TODAY and that I just need to call and let him know if I needed to go anywhere today -- since I have been sitting at home WAITING all week. Anyway, I called FedEx and sent in my complaint (again) about this ON GOING problem w/this driver and was told that there have been several complaints about him in the past (um...if so many, why is he still the driver on this route??)...anyway, I told them that today I would be gone for an hour and that the package needs to be delivered after 4pm and that I have sat here waiting for it since the 2nd, when it was scheduled to be delivered. The guy got on the phone (with me on the other line) and called the driver! So....he knows to deliver after 4:00 today! It's just upsetting that my camera has been on their truck since Aug. 30th and I still do not have it! -- and it is even more upsetting that this driver logs that he attempted to deliver and never even comes out here....that is VERY VERY upsetting!!! So.....hopefully, my camera will be here after 4pm today! This is just insane to have to go thru this every single time we have a FedEx delivery!! Why can't companies ship via a different method??!!! When I asked the camera place this morning, she said that FedEx was the only method they use...arugh....I know my mother's business, there are several places that won't accept UPS deliveries, so they have to ships those parcels via USPS...I mean, it can be done! And if a customer has problems or can't accept certain deliveries...I just feel they should work w/ them!! Anyway, thanks for letting me rant and rave...it makes me feel better to get it out! :biggrin: --- and let's hope and pray my camera gets here today!!!!!:xfingers: |

So, when we came to a passing zone...I flew past him and at the stop sign...jumped out and went up to his truck....he was probably grabbing for his mace not knowing what this crazy lady was up to!:p He had head phones on and looked like he was dazed and confused:rolleyes: But he was "Ground Express" or something like that....and come to find out our package was "home delivery"....so, those are different drivers -- which I had no clue! Anyway...it was comical!--and only I would do something like that. To this day, my DD makes fun of me for chasing down the FedEx guy! :) She's asked me several times this week (since I am dealing w/ them again) if I have chased down any FedEx drivers. DANG...I just hate FedEx (and I rarely use the work "hate" -so you know it is extreme when I use it frequently)!!! ;) |
I guess you should sit in a lawn chair in your driveway and wave him down when he comes lol. |

Are you aware Fedex drivers are independent contractors or work for someone who's gotten a route from fedex. They do it to us here at work too...if they don't feel like delivering it they don't. Sometimes I think they hold deliveries until they have a certain amount in any particular area. |
Totally frustrating!!! My DH is a carrier for USPS and he hates FedEx, too! USPS is the best! Keep us posted about whether or not it arrives today! |
Grrrrrrrr I can feel your frustration:( We used to have the same problem with UPS. I would be home, waiting for a package. Later in the day I'd find a slip on the door. No knock, no doorbell. It's like he just wanted to slap that sticky slip on my door and run off. I watched him do it one time, sprint from his truck, slap the slip on the door, ,and run back to the truck:mad: So I complained about him and now there is a new, GREAT driver on our UPS route;) I really hate it that someone can do a cr@ppy job, and still remain in that job, when someone that CARES could be doing it. I hope you get your camera back. |

I know full well what you say is true. I ordered two big packages of moving boxes. FedX came one afternoon and I was standing right there, he delivered ONE big package. Said he knows it says package 2 of 2 on it, but package 1 must be on another truck. YEAH RIGHT. So I went that very day and tracked it online, and he had marked package 1 of 2 as "Attempted But no one was Home"... WHAT? I was standing right there and talking to the guy to accept package 2 of 2. GRRRR!!! Lazy man didn't want to go back to his truck to get the other box, thats probably all it was. So it came the next day -- with our usual driver. |
I know what you mean by being upset. Fedex gave me such a hard time when I wanted to surprise my mom with a new cellphone, I ended up telling her the surprise since I was having so many problems. I was tracking my phone too. I kept calling, filing complaints and still nothing, so I filed a complaint with the BBB and I contacted the person who is the head of the company finally got somewhere lol. They end up telling me the package was delivered to another address that was the same as mine almost. So they tracked it down and was suppose to pick it up and redeliver. They never did. Well still waiting and the elderly lady who had my cellphone wrote me a letter (she was wonderful for doing that). She told me she called Fed Ex and told them they had delivered it to the wrong address and they kept saying they were coming and never did. So my mom had to go get the cellphone from her. Oh and they also said they made an attempt to deliver and we know they didn't. We were home all day. Fed Ex is horrible! |
