Johnny, if you work really hard and improve a lot, why you could even..........get kicked off the league!! Now isn't that extra special? It makes me wonder how many kids said "Ooooh. He pitches too fast. That really scares me!".... I could more believe them saying "Ooooh...he pitches really good! I wanna pitch like that!" So it's all about the parents. I was a little league Grandma for a while. It amazed me. I couldn't believe the way the adults acted. The umpire had an ongoing feud with one of the coaches and so he would call the kids out that were on that coach's team. Clearly, we could all see that they were safe. What a bad example to set when they are supposed to be teaching them to be....dare I say it?...Good Sports..... I have also seen some parents go absolutely beserk. Both on their kids and on the coaches. :( I think the parents should have to stay home. :p |

That's insane! :( Some of the stuff that goes on in this country really worries me! |
How terrible!! That poor young boy....just wants to play ball!! These house leagues are becoming more and more competitive....taking the "FUN" out of the game...my son played when he was younger...and sadly he was not very good...but he did try...and he was teased so badly from his team mates...that the last season he did not finish the season....I blame the coaches for allowing the teasing.....but even the coaches want "the win" at all costs!!! It is sad... |
That's insane! Those who are in charge should be totally ashamed of their decision. For heaven's sake he's 9yrs old. I would think jealousy may be playing a major role here too. Parent's can be pretty mean when it comes to sports and their kids. Belive me I know. Coming from a football community competition can be down right mean instead of supportive. |
that's a tough one. I know when my son played there was a pitcher that was very fast and it scared my son to death he stopped playing after that season. But why crush a childs self esteam by telling him that noone wants to play ball with him now. I think they should have just moved him to the 10-12 league that way he can still play the game |

What a crock! If the kid is that good, move him up to a higher level and let him compete with slightly more experienced players. He shouldn't be punished for this! That's like them pulling baseball and softball from the Olymipcs after this year because America always winis. Well ex-cuuuuuse us for kicking your butt! |
There was a huge discussion on the radio this am My neice was like that in jr high...they moved her up to play on the hs team. They should just consider allowing him to play..but with older kids maybe. |
