Today I discovered I Had A New Talent...
 

...wall papering! I'm in the process of redecorating our bedroom. Well, it started that BF was doing it but he got as far as stripping the old wallpaper last weekend... then nothing, he even took two days off work to get it finished! :rolleyes: Today I decided that I was going to attempt to do it myself... I mean, how hard can it be really! LOL. :cool:

So off I went upstairs with Amelia, made her a nest in the middle of the bed with some pillows, gave her a selection of toys to keep her amused and set about putting up the wall paper! :D

Over SIX hours later, paste in my hair, back aching... 2 walls papered with lining paper, one wall papered with patterned paper and one nicely plastered wall that I decided didn't need the lining paper after all and could just be painted... so I'm nearly done! :D The patterned paper needs two little pieces putting in on the sides but I need to paint the other three walls first, I don't want to risk getting paint on the pretty paper.

Here's what's been done so far... once I've done the painting and the last bit of paper has been put in then the new furniture can go in. I'm sick of the space savering furniture so we have a nice new bedroom set and bed coming from ikea! YAY!

Just so you can see how complicated that pattern is! :( Probably wouldn't of picked it if I'd known I was going to have to put it up! :rolleyes:

I love that wallpaper, it would look great in my room or bathroom. Can you come over and do mine??? I will keep Amelia:D and Sam can play with Kayla and Gypsy.

And be honest.... did you really do all the work or did you make Amelia do it? :p

Nope, Amelia didn't do any... she discover she roll from her back onto her tummy though and when I was doing the patterned wall she was peeping at me through the gaps in the headboard! lmao

OK, I am looking up price of airfare right now to fly you from the UK to the states to re-do one of my bathrooms.... it has Wallpaper that I'd like to cover or something. :):p

This whole house, (except the stairway/hallway), is papered too... but it's that awful thick padded wallpaper with a pattern that you can paint time and time and time again. :( I really dislike it... so it's got to come down. :rolleyes:

Thank you Cindy and to everyone else that commented how pretty the paper was. I fell in love with it straight away and it's just my style and taste. BF is hmmm-ing and ahhh-ing a little about it, thinks it's a little old fashioned for our age. :rolleyes: The home improvement store is full of that kind of pattern though so it's obviously fashionable right now so it swung it a little! :D
