I agree about the money/breeder....hope anyone would. I just think it's sad when some label these dogs.

I think it's pretty sad when dogs are labled as designer breeds too. Other than that, no one has "labeled" this dog as anything other than a poor victim of a greedy breeder.

Well, as I wasn't a part of that thread, I wasn't aware. Noted that there were not alot of posters there, compared to here. Not you, as well.

What does it matter if I posted on the thread or not or how many replies it received? :confused: You asked if jokes would still be made if it was a Yorkie, I gave you an example showing where they were.
I'm a bit confused....I'm not sure what the issue actually is here.:confused:

He is very cute but it makes me sad that he is being sold for what I think is a CRAZY amount. All because he is so lil!

I read the entire thread you linked and there is no mention about mixed breeds in there. :confused:

That is a link from BamaFan121s showing me that jokes were made there as well from those being upset about the breeding of tiny, teacup yorkies. Guess you'd have to go back & read in it's entirety.

I did read the thread in it's entirety and yes saw one comment posted in jist in regards to how that particular person came up with their pricing on the tiny teacup.

No mention about any mix breeds.

Deb, I suspect the real issue here is not that there were jokes being made about this situation, I think it's because comments were made about 'designer dogs.' I think this may be a continuation of an issue from another thread altogether....:rolleyes:

Now here is hopefully not a dumb question:
If two breeds are brought together, what is a proper word to use for doing that? To say its a mutt, that really isn't true. I know we all get mad about words or names. Can I say this? I'm physically disabled. And through the years growing up, I have heard the word go from crippled, handicapped, and now to physically disabled. I mean, if you say crippled now a days, you are frowned upon. What we need to remember is words, phrases, descriptions are always changing to fit the lifestyle that we are currently leading. Don't let words hurt is all Im trying to say :)

Bottom line, there is NO official, universally agreed upon, politically correct term to use. There is terminology that people prefer and words that people choose to be offended by. You can't please everyone, as you said, why let it bother you that much?
