My dad My dad is in severe pain in his back. He has a nerve between two discs and is going to have to have surgery Thursday. All of his doctors have cleared him for surgery except his cardiologist and he must have a stress test in the morning before they will proceed with surgery. Please pray that he comes through the stress test and is able to have surgery to relieve this pain. This is the best place I know to ask for prayers, so I am asking. Please pray for my dad that he may pass stress test and go to surgery.... It is so hard to see your dad in pain..:( The poor man has been in a recliner for 17 days, because he can't stand to lay down.. My heart breaks for him....Please pray for him, my YT family...... |

My dad just had back surgery 3 weeks ago so I can relate! He had a rod put in because his nerves have been being compressed for years now from breaking his back on 2 separate occasions. He is finally going to be able to wean off of methadone completely now and is on the road to recovery! I hope your father has great results as well!! |

I'm praying that all goes well with your Daddy. I understand completely how you feel. My Daddy has been getting S1 injections for almost a year now. They don't last as long now, and he went in Monday for another, and the Dr said the last one was still working - the pain is coming from another location. He got a different type this time and so far - no help. Surgery is not an option for him. It's SO HARD to watch our Daddy's growing older. Mine has become very feeble in the last year and it breaks my heart to see him trying to do things that were so easy for him even 3 years ago. Praying that all goes well on Thursday. |

Prayers for your Dad! Pass that stress test! My dad isn't in great health either, it's so hard to see the most strong figure in your life in pain or having health problems. I wish the best for him! |
Thank You all for the prayers. My dad made it through the stress test today and is set for surgery tomorrow morning at 6:00. Please continue to pray he makes it through surgery and begins to heal. I will be so happy to see him feeling better. It is hard to see our dads sick and not the the Supermen we think they are. :( I will update tomorrow night and let everyone know his status. I will definately keep your father in my thoughts and prayers. (And you too!) My father has had surgery to fuse upper vertebrae 3 different times...I know that theh surgery can be a real pain (no pun intended) to recover from. It will be OK...if nothing else, at least you have plenty of people here to help you worry.;) |
