:eek: That made my skin crawl. I can't believe how heartless some people can be! I could only watch the first few seconds of it. It was HORRIBLE!!! Poor thing. They should skin that guy alive, see how he likes it... :mad:

AHH! I cant even watch it, the box to start the video, with that poor dog in it is haunting enough. I put myself in everythings shoes and look at their point of view, those poor poor animals. I am a very emmotional person and this could bring me to tears if i look at that dogs face another time. I will sign the petition. I feel horrible, i wish there was more i could do!

Yes this is horrible, i posted a thread last week about how sick and nauseas i was of the fact that they eat dogs there, they stuff them all together in cages and then slaughter them, all kinds of breeds too. It's so sad. I hate it:mad: I even became a vegetarian last week and still am today

I saw that video about a year ago, and it has haunted me ever since. I know people have differing opinions on the ethics of using animals for food, clothing, etc. ... but what we would all agree on is that there is absolutely NO excuse or justification to inflict such barbaric torture on a poor, defenseless animal ... it seems to be cruelty for the sake of cruelty ... there are other ways of putting an animal down. The inhumanity is astounding.

It's totally totally sickening - We have quite a few threads on THIS site about the Fur Trade in China - this is not new and unfortunately - not stopping until the whole world gets involved.

A few years ago I forced myself to watch one and they haunted me so bad that my husband actually told me to stay off sites like that - I do have links on my website about this very problem with GRAPHIC Warnings -

it DOES need to stop - but in all honesty - until we stop BUYING fur as a people - it won't :(

I too have been a vegetarian for about 4 years now..I refuse to eat ANY animal...I don't need to.

I've seen videos on the skinning of LIVE animals in the China fur trade - so if this is a video of that, I can't watch another one. Is there a direct link to the petition?

Personally, I don't even care what excuse they make to do such things. Wear it, sell it or eat it. It's an ABOMINATION. I don't care what country does it. It's an ABOMINATION. I will speak it, out loud or in writing. It's an ABOMINATION! I don't care who it offends and it doesn't matter to me who disagrees with me. It is an ABOMINATION and needs to STOP! There is no acceptable excuse. There is no acceptable reason. There is nothing that can be said about it to defend it for it is indefensible!!!

These are feeling creatures. They give love and adoration. They are companion creatures. They have saved numerous lives over time and it has been recorded over and over that dogs are willing to fight to the death for their owners. We domesticated these animals and have a responsibility to them. They are not food animals. They are not fur animals. This is atrocious and unacceptable and anybody that will defend it is an idiot with no heart. If they own one of these animals, they don't deserve them. If they can look at any one of these videos and say "That's alright" then they are inhumane being thusly unable to have humane feelings. Period.

All of this is my heart felt opinion from the very depths of my soul and spirit.

I cannot even put into words how this sickens me. I just do not have the power inside of me to understand the people that can actually DO THIS to animals. I mean I just SO don't understand it and I never ever will. Who in the world, with a beating heart, can do this to an animal, sit there and watch it and be OK with it??? OMG!! I am going to sign the petition, there is no doubt, but there is no WAY on EARTH I can bare to watch 2 seconds of those videos. I'd end up having nightmares.

I couldnt watch the whole tape. I just turned it off. It always amazes me how incredibly barbaric the human race is. Us, with our huge brains and spouting religion too. But so incredibly vain that we have to "wear" animal fur or buy stuffed animal hide. And for what?? Personally, I would like to go and skin all thoses workers while they are alive. Maybe they would have something to think about while they lay there skinless, save a few eye lashes. Sorry to be graphic, but that tape just did me in. Its a sad thing that over the history of man, animals have always taken the brunt of it all, be it for food, work, sports, etc. Maybe we could show that tape to Oprah.

I've watched that video before and it is very sad. :( Dog and cat fur? I\'m pretty sure I can safely say I\'ve never bought a product that had dog or cat fur on it. As far as foreign cultures eating dogs or cats...well, I can\'t really say much about that. I know their are some cultures that view cattle as holy and probably are outraged when I eat a hamburger.:rolleyes:

I have decided that this is the very last comment I will ever make on this forum regarding this. It is not just \'those\' people whom I condemn for the treatment of animals. My own country is just as bad in the treatment of animals. The food industry is so guilty of atrocities committed upon living creatures. The methods that they use are barbaric. Every time I hear about it on the news or anywhere makes me livid. It is one thing to use animals for food but another entirely to abuse them. There is no excuse for mistreatment of any living creature for any reason.

The methods used here in the poultry industry are abominable as well as the others. Clipping the beaks of the little ones, over feeding so that they get fatter and the basic overall treatment of them is sickening. Gavage-based foie gras production is disgusting as well and this is a French thing, but Chicago recently repealed the ban on this. The treatment of cows that was shown recently in California is inexcusable.

I will say that the one practice that really puts me over the edge is the beating of a puppy so that it will have extensive internal bleeding to make it more palatable when cooked and eaten. It is not that it is a puppy. It is that it is a baby animal treated so badly and creating such intense pain for a living creature. I don\'t care how \'tasty\' the end result may be, destroying an animal in this way for our own pleasure is beyond awful.

My one comfort in all of this is that I know God sees everything that they do. Each and every one of them.
