Do I recycle the little tins that tea lights are in? I use a ton of tea lights and I'm not sure. Thanks!

I would think that since they are just aluminum that as long as they are clean of any wax, you could put them out with your recycling. Do you have weekly/bi-weekly recycling pick up?

Or you could keep them and make your own tealights so you could have whatever fragrance you wanted? :D

I would probably be inclined to do that!

good suggestion. this would be an excellent way to use them several times before recycling them. do you know how i can learn an EASY way to make them?

Every city has different recylables. It all depends on if they have a market for the material or not, and if it is economical. You should call your town office and ask for recyling guidelines.

I know that I have seen the wax at JoAnns...so I am sure they sell the oils and wicks too.

Don't we have some candle makers here that can chime in?

If you have a candle warming plate then buy any fragrance candle, put it in a jar and melt it. Then pour it in the T-lite tin. I've even poured the melted candle wax on the top of the "thingy" that you put the T-lights in. I do all sorts of things with candles. I just love nice fragrances and I change the fragrance with the seasons.

Id say ya anything aluminum for sure! people can get money buy weight out of those if u know someone who collects cans or hauls junk in the neiborhood.( I know I have some in my neiborhood)They told me once because I asked what they took he sayed anything a magnet WONT stick to hope this helps:)

are they the alluminum ones or plastic-y ones? If they're alluminum, then I'd deff. think they should be recycled. I've never really known what to do with the plastic-y ones - they've always just gotten thrown away! Does it have the little recycle sign on the bottom?

they are alluminum. no number on the bottom.
