Well, we did it! After months of planning, Kristen's wedding day has come and gone and happily things went very smoothly and everyone had a great time. Kristen was a beautiful bride & her fiance looked quite handsome in his Air Force dress blues as they said their "I do's" and became husband and wife.

Here are just a few amateur pictures taken at the wedding.

.......a family wedding tradition of ours...circle the bride in dance to the song "We Are Family.....(Ive got all my sisters with me) Most in the picture around the Kristen are my sisters along with a few other family members.

When was the wedding, Rose? I had no idea you were planning a wedding! I know just how much work it is. My oldest daughter was married last Oct. and I gotta tell ya, it's all I thought about and worked on for months! Then my youngest daughter got married in Feb. to an Air Force Chaplain :) I hope I'm done for a LONG time :p

Your Daughter and new son in law make quite the beautiful couple :love: I hope they have a long and happy life together.

Those times are so exciting and it's sad when it's all over. What a beautiful and handsome couple they are. I wish them all the happiness in the world. Where will they be stationed?

They were married last Saturday, Aug. 2nd. I didn't have to do too much of the planning; Kristen's dad (we're divorced) did most of the planning work. I had more of the fun stuff with Kristen while she was here for two weeks prior to the wedding. But it WAS a busy 2 weeks and I will tell you, I was VERY tired on Sunday, after the wedding.

They are actually stationed and living in Anchorage, Alaska already. He has been there for over two years now; Kristen moved there to be with him just about a year ago. From what I understand, the plan is that they will be there until next March and then will likely move somewhere overseas; not sure where just yet.

My baby girl and her hubby are possibly moving to Japan in 2010! I'm not thrilled about it because she's wanting to try to start having a family :( I asked her if she was planning on taking my baby with her ;) She acts like no big deal Mom, just hop on a plane and come stay with us! The pictures are beautiful Rose...although, I'm sure you took tons more :D. Your dress (& the color) is beautiful and Kristen looked absolutely gorgeous. Congrats to you all!!

Thanks Cindy, I AM very blessed. When I hear stories of other families (big or small) not getting along or torn apart, I feel so lucky that our family (my mom & dad's) of 12 are ALL still close, everyone gets along, and family gatherings are looked forward to. Another reason that I am truely a "luckylady".

Actually Yolanda, I didn't take hardly any.....most of the ones I have are from other family members. I was to busy being "mother of the bride" and dancing the night away! It was alot of fun!:D

By the way nice to meet you and my name is also Rose.
It must be nice to have so many brothers and sisters you don't get to hear
of many although my brother's wife also comes from a big family she's the
7th of 17 sibilings and they are all from the same parents. They are all very loving.

Wow....not exactly alike, but myself, my younger sister and one of my older sisters were all pregnant at the same time. The first baby was born in July, the next in September, and I had Kristen in October of the same year. Everytime the three kids are together we try to get a picture of them....like this one taken at the wedding....
