OMG I LOVE Miami. Well South Beach at least.... :p I went to Mangos one time - it is very SALSA if you like that. It is hard to go wrong on the strip all the places are nice and fun. It is great to just walk it and people watch too. One of my favorite things to do - ha, ha!! :p I was just there for a wedding party and we went to a club called Mansion and Prive - they were both great. Have fun...man I wish I was going with you - ha, ha!! :D Also try Nikki Beach if you have a day in the sun to play. It is fun! :D :D |
I'm not gonna lie.. Mango creeps the heck out of me. I don't even like walking by there! I guess I'm in the minority though. :p I love Lincoln Road. It's so much fun to go to dinner at 10 pm or even later when it's really busy and fun out. There is a really nice dog store called "Dog Bar" a block or two off of Lincoln Road that is definitely work checking out. Española Way is a great area with a lot of amazing restaurants. News Cafe is always fun. Have a good trip! |

Lincoln Road is very nice! I'd definitely go there! There's a lot of nice restaurants with outdoor seating and it's romantic. It's also very dog friendly!! ;) There's this sorbet place that is so good. It's all homemade and their fruit flavors are so good! It's called....The Freize. I think it's on Michigan Rd off to the side. For an afternoon type place, I LOVE going down to the Bayside Marketplace. It's a nice, but small, outdoor mall. It's near the AAA, where the Miami Heat play, it's in the corner of the bay. It's a marina too, there's personal boats, some yatchs, and some tourist boats docked there. You can catch a boat that goes around Star Island where all the celebrities live. There's a few shops and then there's a break with a bar and some smoothie places. They have a small stage and there's always a local spanish band playing fun, upbeat music. People usually grab a beer from the bar and sit and listen to the band, there's always older spanish couples who get up and dance. Then theres a few little koisks with different things and that leads to some more stores. On the back side of the stores there's different bars and restaurants to eat at which look out to the marina. The chain restaurants are Chilis and the Hardrock. It's just a cute fun place to go. My bf and I go there for the day and walk around and then eat and watch the different boats go out. Ocean Dr in SoBe is where all the bars are for night. Wet Willy's has great frozen drinks!! Their call-a-cab and the blue one are really good. Be careful tho! Depending on how light of a drinker you are, one drink can put you over. There's another street south of Lincoln that's cute too. It has more Spanish restaurants. I think it's called Espanola Way or something similar to that. It's off of, mm I'm drawing a blank, either Collins or Washington. I'm sure you could google it if you like Spanish food. Have fun! Can't wait to see pics!! |

Anywhere on S. Beach is great, Lincoln Road is fun as well as Coconut Grove. The Dog Bar is an excellent store a bit on the pricey side but nice. Also Bayside is a nice hangout. Have fun!!! Let me know if you need any addresses. |
If you go by BaySide we may be able to meet there, we keep our boat in the marina and usually go by from friday till sun.PM me for my # if you do decide to do that. That'll be fun |
THANK YOU EVERYONE!! you all are so great!!! I am staying at some hotel called Majesty(spelling?) I am nervous because I read really bad reviews about it, but I wasn't the one who booked it. I am really excited to go!! I am just worried because I read all this stuff about how you have to wait for hours to get into a club. And the doormen pick and choose based on your appearance? |

OOooOO!! I LOVE Miami!! I used to go to South Beach a couple times a year (usually during the winters..lol) I stayed at the Delano--Gorgeous!! But way pricey (I only stayed when I had gigs there)..other wise, I would stay at the Marriot which was not as glam but affordable and still beautiful. "SkyBar" is awesome-there's a pool and all! :thumbup:Very nice scene.(Place to be seen) "Snatch" is a night club which was pretty hot too. Dont know if thats changed in the past year. Have fun! Take some pics for us! |
