How wonderful that the breeder cared for and raised Bombo for the first 4 months of his life before Amy got him..... so many wouldn't have bothered..... I would like to know her, she is an exceptional breeder!! I really wish sometimes, that we would have waited to have Emma's surgeries done..... heck, we spent over 2700.00 in the first week of her life.... with surgeries that, for the most part, failed....... but then, the soft palate cleft repair did remain in tact following the surgery.... and even now.... I don't know if Emma would have been able to make it through, had that soft palate cleft remained open....... guess there's no way to know...... |
Update..... I now have been in touch with someone regarding a REAL POSSIBILITY of a children's book based on Emma's story! :) |
Wow!! Emma has truly inspired many, hasn't she???? :) |

But I'm glad, glad, glad that I chose to push through the hard parts! The sleepless days and nights to get where we are today. I wouldn't trade a single one of those nights for the joyous puppy that he is. I know you feel the same way about Miss E! |

I think even the "negative" people wanted to see Emma get what was best for her and have genuine compassion for her. She is the primary concern, afterall, right? |
OMG, I am ROFL SOOOO HARD HERE!!!! I just got done watching Lil Punkin Butt in the video of her playing. Boy she really loves that moneky doesn't she, LOLOL!! She really zips around in her bed, it's so good to see her doing so good. Ya, I'd say she was in a "mood" alright, lol. That's what I say when Lil Miss Maggy May is bouncing off the walls and all around, lol. You're doing a wonderful job with the hands of God guiding you Dena, it's so obvious how happy and healthy she is. My hats of to you!! Kisses to Lil Crazy Punkin Butt for me please, lol. |

I will also say a prayer for you. I am so happy that you took Emma in and did what you had to do. Be thankful for us that support you. No need for this stuff. |

She was responding to a comment I left her. We have been through the same journey and understand what each other is going through by way of EXPERIENCE. Anyone who is kind enough to encourage the path we have taken is still going off of compassion, and really has no other way to relate. We are thankful for all the encouragement, but we also know that anyone giving less than that has no idea what they are talking about if they have not rescued one of these precious babies. So the word ignorance is not a negative thing, it connotates a lack of hands on experience. BTW, before I hand raised Zaccheus I was ignorant, too. |

The term "ignorant" is NOT a "slam" or an ill intentioned "name call".... Main Entry: ig·no·rant Function: adjective Pronunciation: 'ig-n(&-)r&nt 1 a : destitute of knowledge or education <an ignorant society> ; also : lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified <parents ignorant of modern mathematics> b : resulting from or showing lack of knowledge or intelligence <ignorant errors> 2 : UNAWARE , UNINFORMED Additionally, I made NO PERSONAL REFERENCE whatsoever as to that comment being directed at ANYONE...................... (but had I anyone in mind at the time of the writing, it would most certainly have been the people on craigslist who made such cruel and hurtful comments) Regardless.... the statement applies to ANY situation... not just Emma's.... Nasty comments and the spewing of hurtful words in general, which serve absolutely no purpose - - stem from an ignorance of WHATEVER it is they may be referencing..... Talk like that does not come from a well informed opinion.... Regardless.... I believe Diane was commenting on the negativity that I have received through OTHER sources (not that there wasn't a time when there was plenty of it right here, but that's besides the point).... so I'm not sure why those of you who have taken offense to my words, feel as though you've been personally attacked.... certainly no reason for that. Now let's end this - chalk it up to "misunderstanding" and move on before the topic gets "ugly" when there really is no call for it.... |

I was feeling the need to hop back on my soap box again, but you stated it so well. Have a great day. Kisses to Emma! |
