Is Texas Pete a southern thing? I've got about two drops of texas pete left, and don't know what I'm going to eat without it!! Can't get that stuff in canada (that I know of) and brought three bottles back here with me when I went home to nc for xmas. Who else loves texas pete??? :'( it's almost all gone!!! |
Ive lived in Texas my whole life and I have no idea what Texas Pete is. What is it? |

I've never seen it in TN, although I'll be keeping my eye out from now on! |
I guess you can count me as another Texan who has never heard of "Texas Pete". :D |
Ahh well salsa is good stuff. I prefer the homemade kind that a lady at my mom work makes. Never heard of Texas Pete salsa tho. I like Pace and Wal~Mart's Peach Salsa or Black Bean and Corn Salsa. |

We have it here in Indiana. Loooooove me some Texas Pete! |
lol i love the stuff and im from tx! |
We stay well stocked on Texas Pete at our house. I LOVE the stuff on hot wings! I don't blame you...I'd be upset if I was almost out too. Anytime you need more sent to you--your southern YT friends can help.:D |
I've never heard of it, but there is a little "food" boutique close by that sells all sorts of hot sauces, spices, salsa's , etc...so if you need me to look for you, I will! I love homemade salsa...I have already made countless batches of it from our garden this year! YUMMY :dribble: |
I haven't seen Texas Pete in PA but I have found Louisana Hot Sauce - lol. I agree sometimes you just need the sauce to add the right amount of zing to a dish. It's usually better with a bit of heat. :) |
i lived in southern california for 21 years and i had never heard of texas pete until i moved to florida a year and a half ago! i'm pretty sure its a southern thing. it's a different type of hot sauce, like the kind you'd put on fried chicken, porkchops, fried catfish etc. louisiana hot sauce, crystals & frank's red hot are some of the other ones that they have here :) |
