Rosetta Stone $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I keep seeing these commercials for "Rosetta Stone" Spanish lessons. I decided to check it out. I thought maybe I could get some used discs on Ebay or some "copies" for 40-50 bucks. I had no idea this thing costs $550.00!!!! I was just shocked. I thought maybe it was $100. I guess that's why they don't show the price on the commercials! |
It's very costly, the cheapest I seen was 175 at ebay:confused: |
My daughter is currently using Rosetta Stone to learn Portuguese. (Her boyfriend is from Brazil.) I, too, think the cost is outrageous.:eek::eek: |
Yeah, they are a fortune! I actually found a much better deal - and it's the system the United Nations uses to teach folks (quickly) how to learn Spanish (or any language) - I got it on either Amazon or eBay - can't recall the name right now, but if you google it - you may be able to find it.... |
I know for sure if you live in AZ (maricopa county or pinal) you can get that for free online. with a library card ;) for maricopa county:Rosetta Stone for pinal county: Welcome to our Language Learning Center |
oohh thanks for that... Ive been wondering myself about getting it and trying to learn spanish.. sounds like a small investment! |

Rosetta Stone is a good language tool. I know the military uses Rosetta Stone. The soldiers are learning to speak Arabic to relate to the Iraqi's. I agree it is costly. However, I would check the local libraries as well. Also, check the college bookstores for resales you may get it discounted. |
I paid $600 for Camino del exito to learn spanish. I learned a lot but did not complete all of the CD's. I printed off all of the things from the internet. I guess I should try to sell it on Craigslist. |
