Hair Question I know, I know, this is not the grooming section... I have hair issues with my own hair, and I need help. Ever since a was 15 I started getting gray hairs, which is very cute when you have a young face, and no wrinkles, I've been coloring my hair for years, highlights, red, blond, red with highlight, brown, blond again, since my hair is 99.9% white, I've been going lighter and lighter with the hair color just to avoid coloring that often, and I look very washed out(pale) needless is to say that I have to do this every 2 weeks, and have to do it myself, I can't afford to salon this often.Lately I've been thinking on just letting my hair go "all natural" and is when my questions come: Have any of you, let your hair grow natural, without coloring? How did you make the transition? Should I leave my roots grow a bit, and then cut my hair really short? I like to hear your experiences Please help! |
We will all deal with grey hair eventually....I have some too and my hair is naturally dark so they do stand out, but I am lucky to not have that many..yet... I guess it depends on how you feel about it....I work with some women who have let the grey grow in and it looks very nice on them - they got tired of "fighting" it I guess! |
Well I used to get my hair colored a lot and I am now to my 'normal' colore ... it took FOREVER to get like that again .....:( |
I have seen women with white or silver-colored hair wearing it very short and it looked really nice. |

I have been letting my hair go back to natural. I have very thin (balding really) hair and I keep it in a short stand up style. The grey is definetly showing threw. I figure at my age (44) it is ok. |

How old are you if you don't mind me asking? I am going grey big time, I am only 31, so letting nature take its course so to speak is not an option for me. Im blessed with olive skin that is oily and do not have ANY fine lines or wrinkles or nothing (of course i do get breakouts from all the oil) so I look really young for my age (most think Im only 24). So if I let my grey come naturually it would look weird I think. If you are too young, then you may feel uncomfortable going all white... but you'll only know if you try it! :) |

You could always use a temp rinse of any color you choose while it grows out. Just a thought. Good Luck! Angie |
