Question on phone services
 
I'm with Embarq as of now and I just am not the happiest with them. I think they have a lot of hidden charges.

I want to drop Embarq which is my home phone and internet.

I would like to go to cell phones.

Is their any cell phone companies that offer high speed home internet?

What are the prices?

Verizon offers broadband internet. Sometimes you'll find a promotion for a rate as low as 14.95 a month. That's what I have. The regular rate is around $35. per month

T-Mobile has it as well. although i am not sure how much it is

I think alot of the 'major' cell providers have internet services as well! ;) I know Verizon, AT&T, & TMobile do! and i know TMobile just started a new thing.. where you can add a home phone setup to your cell acct. for i think $10- a month (don't know all the details..but it seems pretty cool!) :):)

I'm on their website now and I don't see home internet. Just where you can surf the web on your cell. :confused:

you know what i didnt mean to put tmobile with the internet i just meant it for the home phone!! :( sorry.. my bad-im not sure if they have internet.. but you looked and i guess they dont! sorry!! :( what cell provider do you have? tmobile?

Verizon is offering the fios which covers both. I currently have time warner for all of mine. Not sure if they are out where you are.

In that case, i would go with ATT..they have a bundle package where you can get a reduced rate on your direct tv, cells, and internet. they have great coverage and awesome phone..we have it at my house..

yeah.. check out their package! we have att home phone.. and you can add their internet.. cell.. and the direct tv to all one bill and they give you a big discount for having any of the combined services! ;)

MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM ABOUT ALL THE DISCOUNTS!! (so they don't try and slide one by you! ;))

We have such a small rinky dink phone company and they have the monopoly here. No other phone company can come in. I do have my phone and DSL with them, but cell phones are with US Cellular. When they were installing the DSL wiring, I told them I bet people will stop getting phone service and go to cell phones and he told me if that happened, they would have to raise their DSL rates. Darned if you do and darned if you don't.....LOL. Good luck Missy.
