Back to the original topic..I hope Animal Fair magazine takes notice after receiving so many complaints about Wendy Diamonds comments. And she will surely be reading these e-mails herself. Hopefully she'll be a little more respectful of those of us who dress our pets in the future. |
It is a little ironic....I was late getting back to this thread because I just got back home, after driving 230 miles. I picked up two female "owner surrender" yorkies, and took them and my current foster (Jodie has a new forever home) to Kelly. Also, another foster, Skip, came back home with me. Michele, I too hope our efforts are successful in getting Animal Fair's attention. |

We are all fair in discussing what we like or dislike. However you have the right not to be in a thread you don't agree with and turning to the next thread you are interested in. But slamming other members are not kind nor does it do anything for you. Again you are making assumptions that you don't know about other members and what they do with there time. I think most people on YT love dogs and do what they can and spend time and energy helping out and voicing opinions on topics about dogs. Some people might say that us being on YT isn't worthwhile when abuse of children in this world and so many other things are more important. But they have the choice not sharing in our discussions and our love of dogs. However that doesn't mean what we are discussing isn't very important to us here at YT the members do have that right. Its too bad more people can't be forgiving and turn the other cheek instead of downing someone else. How does that help the world out or make your day brighter. I'm not just picking on your but I to will be emailing these people about the comments. I have the freedom of choice in America to do what is right in my eyes. Due to my husband and son being one of those people fighting for our rights in America. There are too many people in the world that worry to much making statements that aren't needed. YT had great members and its said when I see so may posts of rude comments about threads and comments that "how have they hurt you in any way" No one is twisting your arm to email for what others believe in. Get over it!!!! Relax and do what you need and don't waste your time on threads and saying things againist other people. But people like Diamond being Hypocrites people do need to voice there opinions as we have too many people in our world like that. Thanks to many "Donating members and others they are voicing there rights and saying what they believe in" We will continue till those rights are taken away or given away but others that don't understand we need to fight for those freedoms. Thanks for sharing all those email addresses with all of us and those that want to will take time our of there days to make a difference in many ways. |

Gosh guys, I think some folks have been pretty harsh in "assuming" some things here. And there has been NO "slamming" whatsoever, as someone mentioned - let's be real clear on that. She stated an opinion - you can agree or disagree, respectfully, and move forward, right? :) |

I watched the video of Ms. Wendy. Yes, Lucky and she have some clothes in common. I think Lucky wears them well. :D I also saw where the pup almost got smacked with the elevator door. She should have been watching the door and not moving her mouth. Had she done that Ms. Wendy wouldn't have people upset with her. My dog is like one of my kids so yes I dress him in the cool weather. Like some one said before me my dog has hair and shivers when cold. Makes you wonder how some people get to be judges. |
So you are saying that when your dog is being judged on grooming you should have it wear a dress:confused: Nuts!! |

Come on, Ann, actually the first "harsh assumption" was made by Simon&Hallie. It wasn't necessary and added nothing to the original topic. |

So far as moderators having their own opinions, that's completely fine and understandable as well. However, an off-topic post was made in this thread assuming that those of us who are passionate about this topic could be doing "better things" with our time, such as helping to stop puppymills. Members CAN be passionate about different interests, and it is wrong to assume things. I would LOVE to move on past having to defend ourselves against an assumption and get back to the original topic...it just seems a little unfair to have a thread closed because one person chose to take this thread off-topic by an unfair assumption. I just think it is sad that not only do we have to defend ourselves for dressing our dogs to Wendy Diamond...but now we have to defend and explain the way we spend our time as well? If anyone is reading this thread and was not offended by Wendy Diamond, that's perfectly fine...just ignore this thread. But if you were offended by the comments that Wendy Diamond made, feel free to write to her magazine and let her know..as well as post on the CBS message board. |
