What is your nickname or what was your nick name as a kid? I will start... My grandma called me Nan and because of that my cousins called me "Nanny goat" Well I got an email from my youngest cousin today and he called me "Nanny Goat"....I had to laugh..I have not heard that in 20 years!!...so it got me thinking....what's your nick name? |
Well, everyone calls me Julie but my actual name is Julia so I guess you could call that a nickname. My freshman year of college, I had a roommate that called me Julia Gulia. It annoyed the heck out of me! |
Mine was neicey. The little girl across the street could never say Denise so she'd say...Hey Neicey Come ober. lol it was the cutest little voice she had and it stuck with me as a joke. They don't call me that now of course...lol Lauryn's was always Pooter..cause as a baby she passed gas all the time. lol as she got older we stopped saying it. When lexi was born and started to talk she called Lauryn..Nonney. We have no reason why she called her that but for about two years she did. It was so cute. Now we call Lauryn...Money Bags cause she's a teenager and thinks money grows on trees...lol Lexi's is Doodle or Doodle Bug still call her that. Bella's is Momma's Little Cushey Face, Bella Boo. hahahahah |
"Mooch." I think my cousin Lynn started it - but it's been around since I was a baby. :p and also my friend Jess and the rest of her family call me Meagen. Pronounced like Me-a(like gate)-gin. Because I went with them to FL a few years ago and everyone in Disney there spelled my name Meagen. and Megaroni haha. Kim on here was (I think) the first one who's ever called me it, but somehow it's spread to my entire family. |
Well my grandma called me Nick....my middle name is Nicole....I never understood why she called me that. My dad used to call me stretch, when I played softball I played first base and first basemen need to stretch alot to get the ball when thrown to them to make a quick out. And my friends when I was younger used to call me Trey, my first name is Ashley so they got Ash-Trey....we spelled it different so people wouldn't think Ash-tray. but nobody ever put Ash in front of it anyways. And my husband for some reason calls me Cletus....I have no idea why, but he does lol. |
When I was learning to spell my name I thought my name was Kim Berly Jo so for i have been called Berly Jo for the longest |
I am Tookie or Took since I've been a couple months old. :D |
My most normal nickname is Linz :) In high school I had friends who would call me Tater (last name Taylor) and then that spread to Tater tot, Tater bean, Tater head, basically anything with Tater lol. I'm glad to be rid of that one :D When I was little, my uncle used to call me Lily of the Valley, and I'm not really sure why! And my grandpa used to call me Smiley. It's my favorite memory of him (he passed away when I was 10). His favorite thing was cards and we'd play cards everytime we were together. I have the worst poker face and as soon as I'd get a good hand, my face would just light up so he'd always refer to me as "Smiley" |
My Dad always and still does call me ErinO first name is Erin and middle name is Olivia. So ErinO, hence my username ;) Or he would call me his Sunshine, as he always sang me the "You are my Sunshine, my little sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away" Geez, I love my Daddy so much!! |
Daddy called me "Slim"....oh well. Grandma always called me Jenny. |
My name is Elisandra but when i was growing up my nickname was Alice dont know where that came from and who gave it to me but i was called that lol |
Mine was Doodlebug for the most part......still is.:D |
When my mom was pg. with me they already had a girl and this time wanted a boy. My dad was so sure I was going to be a boy that he named me -----. Even though I was a girl everyone still called me -----. All my aunts, uncles, cousins, neices, nephew's all still call me -----. Anyway, yes, I have a major nicname, but I'm not telling anyone what it is!! |
My dad calls me bing-bing ever since i was little. It originated from green beans and came to me one day when i was little and my brother who is a year and a half older said "Lynn, eet yo bing bings", so it stuck lol. I call my 9 year old cat tigerlilly "nut head" lol and i call my yorkie Buffalo "Buff". I love my pets :yelrotflm!!!! |
Since I can remember, my nickname has been Goose- i think as in Silly Goose.. i'm 24 and my parents still call me Goose... it gets a lot of strange looks :p They also used to call me Dairy Dora- it was a character on a show that only aired around Toronto called Oopsy Daisy.. and I loved the show. |
My name is Lisa. My Grandma called me lee lee. My Husband calls me little Lee. So I quess it is little lee since My Grandma passed years ago |
My name is Marta I have had lots of nicknames. My brother always calls me Martica. My mom and dad call me Gordi. Many people have called me Marty, Martha, Tee, random names. |
When I was little I couldn't say my own name  when asked my name I would proudly say "icky ocky" which the "ocky" part is suppose to be my surname is nothing like what it actually is! lol My parents used to call me that and also "Gigi" which I have NO idea how that started. At 26 they still sometimes call me that, mainly Dad. Mum said she was going to call it me all the time if I carried on calling Amelia Grace by the name I started calling her. Before Amelia was born we said we would call her Milly for short... when she arrived though she didn't look like a Milly at all. When she got to about 3 months old I'd started calling her "Moo" or "Moo Moo". Everyine told me to stop but I'm not and BF calls it her now too. LOL. I'm sure she'll love it when she gets older! :p |
My real name is Teresa but my family has called me Teri since the day I was born. In fact, they "forgot" to tell me that my real name was Teresa! When I got to first grade and there were "no nicknames allowed" the teachers all called me Teresa. Unfortunately, I didn't answer to it. I couldn't spell it. And to make things even WORSE, my maiden name was Maxwell and there was a boy named Terry Maxwell in my class. I was a very confused puppy in first grade! |
My name is Theresa and I've had several nicknames. Reese (hence my username) My Mom sometimes calls me Treesie My nephew couldn't say my name when he was small and he called me Re-Rah I was also called Bug eyes, because I have big eyes! I also get called " T " |
When I was born I had very long eyelashes and a big head and when everybody would see me they said I looked like tweety bird so that has been my nickname since the first day I was born. Another one was Chikis, yes like Chiquito my Chihuahua's nickname. I'm petite, and was always the small one in most events we would go so my neighbors started calling me Chikis. When I go to see my family some of the neighbors still call me Chikis. |
I had several nicknames that my father gave me. Doodle-bug, Bootle, Boo-juice, and my sister (whose real name is Ginger) had Gin-Tago. He passed away 2 years ago, and I really miss him using our nicknames and making them into a song, that was just what he did. :D :( |
As a child it was always Eta..this was what my older sister (14 months) used to call me...she couldn't say Ericka...now its either E or Jane (middle name) |
What a cool thread. Megan, henceforth, I will call you Mooch. ;) (And tell Teresa I don't care if she doesn't like it.) I never really had a nickname that stuck. Mom called me MikeaBabe. My name is Mike and I'm the baby of the family. Strangely, it never bothered me. My Mom was my hero. Coaches called me Red because I had red hair. Sheesh. Be original. Girls just called me Superman. |
