For Those of you with Shark Steam Mops? How are you liking them? I am thinking about getting one today at target but I wanted to see some reviews on it first ..thanks :) |
I hadn't heard of it, so I googled it. It looks interesting. Did you see an infomercial on it? |
I love mine. It heats up really fast and does a great job!!!! It also doesn't leave the floors wet. If your floors have lots of built up residue, you might need to use a few times before you see results you'll like. |
I really liked it the couple weeks I had it. Thought it was a great invention and still do , however mine died on me after only a couple uses. I took it back and recently purchased the Bissel steam mop. I hope you have better luck, the Bissel is made 100% nicer. I was pleasantly surprised. It's heavier, cord is longer and heavy duty, the water tank comes off to fill and you can use tap water. You have to change the filter when necessary, which the Shark did not have. It also has a swivel head. |

Yes, that's it. I ordered mine from HSN. My sister has had her's for sometime and just brags about it. |

some of the reviews say it doesnt dry instantly? Have u had that problem ,the cord is too short and it doesn't clean the grout very well ? I have ceramic tile so that is really important..... sorry for the 20Q's.... last one... if it hadn't been for the fact that your Shark stopped working.. which do you like best? |
Is filtered water ok to use on the shark steam mop? |

I have not used the Bissel yet. It just arrived. I have a marble dinning room, hall way and tile in the bathrooms. I still scrub the grout once a month. The Shark I had did a great job for once a week cleaning on all those floors plus my kitchen which is Pergo laminate. I would assume the Bissel will do the same. Gout needs to be scurbed periodically. No machine is going to do that. Don't expect miracles in shortcuts, LOL, you still need to get down and dirty from time to time. |
I have laminent wood flooring, I have had the steam mop awhile. I really like it. I was using the swiffer wet mop before and noticed after awhile there was a lot of buildup. The only bad thing with the shark is that it leaves drops of water. It doesnt dry instantly like the infomercial states. But you can just take a microfiber cloth to dry the spots and the floor looks great. I have also noticed that it stays clean longer. No footprints or anything. I used to have to mop daily becuase of the yorkie traffic. But now I am down to once a week! |
I like it, but I don't think it was quite as good as I was expecting for the price. It definitely does leave my floors wet (not for as long as traditional mopping) but still, I thought it would be completely dry. I'm actually looking to get something else just because I don't *love* it. ETA - The cord is really short, even in a smaller room I need to switch plugs, and the pads get dirty super quickly which hinders my cleaning plans, so I'd be prepared to order more pads from the company. |

I'd actually love to know if there's a better brand out there though! |
