Right now as I sit here and type this........Jason is sitting at my sewing machine SEWING :sewmachin the furbutts a harness!!!!! lol! He would kill me if he knew I was telling on him :p He just started 3rd shift for a WalMart electrical remodel (he is a contracting commercial electrician) and so now instead of messing his sleep up even more he is staying up all night on his days off. Since he only has 1 day a week it is easier on him. So, to help him through tonight he has decided to sew, lol! I am in shock to see the sight :eek: but it is cute! ;) I had bought some new fabric today and he liked the one patriotic print and challenged me that he couldn't make somehting out of it. I told him to make a coin purse or something for one of our boys and he said "No, I want to make something for them" and nodded at Koda and Kammie :wub: Aww, I love this man! :D
I will post a pic when the finished product is available, he is timing himself too, lol!

Ok folks, we have my DH Jason's first EVER sewing project!!! It turned out great, I am really proud of him! :D
An hour and a half total time into it. :thumbup:
Koda is modeling.....

I'm conning him into doing one for Kammie with a little skirt on it now to. So he can say he made the pair. If I am lucky he will do leash too!

He worked with a couple different harnesses we have for the furbutts and pretty much wung it! No pins to help hold it, markers, pens anything. Just machine, fabric and scissors :D He has a pretty good eye :cool:

Wow! Sounds like something my boyfriend would TRY to do but I don't think he's complete it, that's awesome though!! You better watch out, there will be girls flocking to this post wanting him to make them one for their furbutts haha!!

That picture of Koda sitting for the treat (side view) looks so much like Lilly it's scary - the coloring that is

Judy, yep 1st attempt!!! He only ever touched the sewing machine when I first got it to help me get it out of the box!!!

Ericka, I thought about snapping a pic of him making it, but then he would have known I told you guys what a manly thing he was doing, lol!! I told him after he was done, lol!

Emily, he is a good enough guy I could share him!! He has more than enough great qulalities to go around :D

Everyone, he sais "AWW THANK YOU SO MUCH" for everyones words :D He is very proud of himself :D as so am I

As far as learning/knowing how......he doesn't. That was the first time he ever used a sewing machine or thread and a needle of any sort ;)
He challenged me to make Kammie's harness today so I had to take him up on it, lol! This is my 1st official item that really is of any use! The only 3 other things I have done have been very simple things for the kids, like playing card pouches, GI Joe shirt, change purse things like that for my kids just learning not to sew my fingers together, lol!:D My friend who will be teaching me is on vacation still so we haven't started our lessons yet, just phone calls making the plans for future clothing.

So please don't laugh:p, but here is my harness vest I made for Kammie! It has quite a few flaws but I think it turned out presentable, lol for being my 1st! It kind of turned out between a dress and a harness though, lol! A little long for a harness but a little short for a dress. Oh, well, I tried:D

LOL! That really is so cute! :D But sad at the same time that a MAN can sew a dog's harness together and I can't :rolleyes:
