thank you all for your prayers . . it sure has helped. My mom is now with me as her area has been forced to evacuate . . .the wind direction is southband and we are both on the east side . . so that is a good thing . . .so far 8 houses have been burned up in the Dishman Hills . . .watching the news sure is wearing me out :( . . .I guess I will just go to bed but leave the TV on :(

Mercy! Fifty mile an hour winds! No wonder they are having trouble controlling it.

Although it is sad that your mother had to evacuate, I am glad that she is with you now. You will probably both feel better for that.

I pray that you all remain safe and that they will get the fire contained. We have had fires burning very close to our home before. The smoke is horrendous and when it begins to rain ashes, it seems even worse.

good morning everyone . . just turned on my TV a few minutes ago and it seems the fire is now under control and very much contained. The evacuation grid to where my mom's house was affected has now been reduced and shows she is now able to go home . . .thank you all for your wonderful prayers and warm thoughts.:)

oh yes, yes, yes everything is pretty much back to normal (I think) . . . well at least I am back at work :eek::rolleyes: . . .It sure was a close call . . . most especially for my mom because she her neighborhood was part of the evacuation.

Once again I that you all for your concern . . .YT prayers are strong and always heard :thumbup:
