Anybody like math brain bogglers? This was found in a 5th grade math book, but they used cats! Try your math skills. Let me know if you want me to PM you the answer to see if you are right. There are 7 girls on a bus. Each girl is carrying 7 backpacks. In each backpack there are 7 cottony Yorkies. For every cottony Yorkie there are 7 silky Yorkies. How many legs are there on the bus? |
ok...238 without counting the bus driver...if you count the driver there are 240 legs on the bus |
Nope. we're only talking about little girls, and yorkies. |
My turn, no legs...busses have wheels :) |
ok....i hate this number so im separating it....1.....6....6...6.......there you go....i forgot about their being 7 backpacks |
10990 |
OK..I say 406 legs.... |
no one is even close..... |
None...the bus has wheels. |
Ok, can you PM me the answer?? |
...1387 |
(lol, you're right, busses don't have legs) But if we didn't take that literally, wouldn't it be: 7 girls x 2 legs = 14 49 cotton yorkies (CY) x 4 legs = 196 CY legs 49 x 7 = 343 silk yorkies (SY) x 4 legs = 1372 SY legs 14 girls legs + 196 CY legs + 1372 SY legs = 1582 total legs Right?! PM me! Lol |
I am going to say that there are 10,990 legs on the bus. Am i right? Each backpack contains 32 legs. Each girl has 7 backpacks. So that makes 1568 legs per girl not including her legs. So add 2 more legs to her that makes 1570. Now 1570 x 7 girls = 10990. |
70 legs? |
10990 is right. Sorry Luvinmyyorkie. I missed your answer back there. You got it right! Sorry there isn't a prize. I love these things. Someone come up with another one. Ya'll got that too quick. I thought this would go on a little longer. |
