Ticks aren't something to sneeze at, so to speak. Have a friend whose daughter has just been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. We all knew something has been wrong for about a year. They have gone from doc to doc. Now it is in her brain. Haven't heard yet what the prognosis is. It's a scary disease because it is so hard to diagnose.

It just seems strange that there would be 3 on the plane! And I'm wondering how the passengers spotted them.

If they were planted - this is a form of terrorism. And if people start planting things like this on planes how are they going to screen for these?? :eek:

How very bizzare! The news article was lacking in info, wasn't it? I, like you, am wondering how it came to be noticed. Was it like, "Uh...stewardess, I see a tick over there" or what??!! Or maybe "Ummm... I see three ticks over there."..... Were they all in the same place or were they in different areas of the plane? Did they do a tick search to find that there were three? I could ask so many more questions. LOL

eewww I hate ticks... they are sooo gross, and now that they carry dieases, that makes them even grosser!

I'm sure the TA is not very good at releasing information about such events. I really hoped there would be an update somewhere today

I have yet to watch "Snakes on a Plane". Too scary for me. Ticks on a place is really scary. You can barely see some of them they are so small.

That's crazy and gross...but a six hour delay?? Seems like they could have cleaned the plane and checked for ticks while in flight..
