:dreaming: come on already and pee on the stick !!! ;) :xfingers: I can't wait until Friday!!! |
HCG levels peak in earlier pregnancy, but most early pregnancy tests can test at very low levels, like 15-20, and you would still be welllll above that. Trust me, I've been pregnant 7 times, and had 6 children (miscarried one). It will show if you test. Its not even Wednesday yet, you cant leave us hanging till friday! Go to the dollar store and get a cheap test! |
Thanks girls. I am just for the first time in my life too scared to take a test.....I couldn't hide the emotions from Maya if its negative of me wondering what on earth would make me look like this and have movement.....its not gas type movement, defiantly twinges low and brushes/rolling type feeling higher around my naval area. I am not saying I am preg. I am just saying I would be be freaking out if that was ruled out by a pee test and no doctor there to help me with answers or anything. Angie |
Oh, my, I'm so nervous for you. I'll keep you close in my thoughts and will pray for you. So very sorry for the great loss of your sister. Your niece is lucky to have you. |

Hi there :) Wow - what a crazy time for all of this to be happening to you. Did you take the test yet? With all of the probable signs you are having (movement, gain in abdominal girth, sx of pregnancy - heartburn, etc.) it sounds like you're prob pregnant. With being in the medical field, in neonatology specifically we deal ALOT with obstetrics, a urine test is still only a probably sign of pregnancy. THe only absolute way to know is to get an ultrasound and have visualization of the baby, and doppler the heart. There are other signs of pregnancy but an OB doc or midwife would have to do that assessment. The only thing that comes to mind for me if it isn't pregnancy is the possibility of a hydatiform mole. Google it. I remember learning about it in nursing school, I just remember reading that it can exhibit signs of pregnancy and women without prenatal care will go in to their doctor at like 38 weeks and ask for an exam, where now the mole is like 7lbs. I'm sure you are pregnant, and I hope you are pregnant, what a wonderful gift a child is. I was not trying to scare you with the alternative, just let you know what cam to my mind right away as the alternative. Best of luck to you with everything :) You are in my thoughts and prayers. You are more than welcome to PM me if you have any questions I can try to answer. |
Thanks, I will look into that. I have been sitting on the couch watching my soaps on Tivo and I was paying attention to see if there was movement at the same time I have been feeling it the past week. I had my hand on my stomach and when I felt something move, I watched and it was moving my hands......felt like somrthing rolling. I don't maybe its something other than a baby that has my uterus pushed up and making other stuff move around. I don't know if it works like that, I was so young when I had my son 17 years ago that I never really learned what was going on. It's 3 I think I may be able to sleep a little now, I am sure I will be up early. I appericate all of yuo SO much, I know everyone has stuff going on in their own life too. Angie |
Okay, I'm gonna have to say this and I doubt very seriously it's what you have BUT have you had any pain? I only skimmed through the three pages so I may have missed something. I remember when I found out I had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), I was very bloated and could actually feel movement - turns out it was gas that wasn't coming out (I know, TMI!). BUT I also had pain with it. I actually thought it was something with my ovaries because that's where the pain seemed to be. So, anyway.... as for the movement you're feeling, I'm sincerely hoping it's a little bundle of joy in there and not gas ;) but that is something that popped into my head while reading your description. Good luck!! |

Was your stomach really hard and rounded and sitting up high underneath your breast almost? I have been constipated, it could be gas moving, but it dosen't feel like gas. If it makes a difference to any of you I felt a lot better when I was finally able to calm down around 3 and go to bed knowing ya'll would be here when I woke up. I told my husband I finally posted here ( he knows I am always on this board ) and it has been helping....he was glad to know that, he dosen't know what to do with me......lol Thanks Ya'll, Angie |
Angie, I sincerely hope this all ends with a little bundle of joy! I can't imagine the stress you have gone through this past year. Prayers are coming your way! |
Thanks Terri.....I know in reality prayers are the main thing that matter and GOD is in control. I feel bad for praying to him and then keep worrying. I know he is more than capable to take care of me. In the end I just keep reminding myself of that right before I feel like I am going to have a panic attack, so far no panic attacks:) Angie |
Good luck Angie. I'm praying all turns out just the way you want. :) Keep us posted please! |

Well, yes..... I seriously looked pregnant when I first started having the IBS problems so I was quite bloated. And as for the pain going away when you move around, that sounds like gas too. I certainly don't want to turn your "baby anticipation" into a yucky gas issue. I was just sharing my experience. It is very normal to have that kind of small pain like you mentioned when you're newly pregnant also. Some people have some pain during the implantation time. I'm hoping it's more exciting than gas for you :D - can't wait to hear your results. |
Hi Angie, well the thing is that pain started when I would have been around 5 - 6 months.....I seriously look like someone who is 8 months preg. and if I were preg. I would be 34 weeks according to my last period. I am just SO scared if I am not then they are going to defiantly have to do surgery to get this hard, big thing out of me. The DR.'s office called and they moved my appointment to tomorrow morning at 9:45 and I have been crying from fear....I have to get it together quickly. Whatever is going on has to be fixed, I just hope it's not bad news of any kind. I don't even know how I can make it through school tonight, but I can't just sit here and dwell and bug all of you either, so I need to go. I better run get myself cleaned up I have been dodging Maya so she dosen't see me, but it's a small house. Angie |
good luck!!! keep us updated |

MD Your posts really disturb me...you sound so stressed and panicked...Please make an appt. with a doctor asap...you say you look 8 months pregnant and have all these symptoms...surely the stress is making your health worse and if you are indeed pregnant, this can not be a positive way to live for you or the coming baby. If you are not pregnant, you will get through the disappointment and get your health/ mental state on a good solid track...you have a child to care for now..your niece..God has placed her in your life for a reason..and perhaps she is the child you want so much. I wish you lots of good wishes... |
Glad your appt. has been moved up. Hugs, sweetie, and prayers. Joanne |
Thanks. Yes, I know the stress is not good....I have been under constant stress for over a year with major problems happening all around me....I am at the point where I feel I just can't take another thing. I hope tomorrow I won't have so much upset. Angie |

You have to be pregnant. This is how I felt....also does it feel kinda like a wave. I am in my 9th month. We have had problems getting pregnant and had done everything. After we had given up sorta speak...boom I ended up pregnant on my own. Good luck to you and how can you resist the urge not to test.....The $ store brand is as affective as the one's at WalMart or wherever. I think I had bought the $ store out. Spend a $ and find out. The suspense is killing me....:) Heather |
I think you really need to post a pic. You keep saying how you look pregnant, but I need a visual ;) |
Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers! *HUG* |
Just wishing you good luck in whatever happens. Would your DH be supportive if you came home with a newborn, what about family support either way? Hope you can actually get some sleep tonight. |
Angie I just wanted to check in and see how your doing ..... hope everything will turn out just fine !!! :) |
Thanks ya'll. Its 3:30 I have been trying to get calm and go to bed....I have to get up at 7 to pick through all Maya's curls and bring her to my friend. Yes, Shane would be very happy if I was having baby, he would have to work pretty fast getting things set up. My younger sister just had back surgery last week so my Mom is taking care of her right now, I don't have anyone else really that could help if I had to have surgery right now. My grandparents are in their 70's and 80's and their son, who is like my brother was dignoised with lou gerhings diease right before my sister got sick and passed. I just don't know what I will do....my main thing is to make sure Maya is ok through whatever is going on. I don't want her to think she is going to loose two mommies. I just don't know anything right now. I am going to try to rest a bit and hopefully tomorrow will bring happy news. I have to look for a birthday gift after I leave the DR.s if I am still sane, if its too bad I will just come home and update as quick as I can. Just keep praying please. Hugs, Angie |
Prayers and positive thoughts heading your way right now. |
