Is there a way that I can keep all my albums private except for one?
I would like to have send a link to an album to someone...but if I make my account private, I would have to send a password...if my account isn't private, then they can see all my other albums.........NOW, I do NOT have any bad pictures on there:) I just wanted to find a way to keep one album open to send that link..
Okay....did I confuse you? I am having one of those "dumb" moments....so it may be something simple that I just am NOT understanding!:D:cool:

I'm not familiar with Photobucket, I always use Shutterfly, and you can send the invitation(link)without giving your password

Sure you can mark albums and sub albums private or public. Go to account options. This is on the top right next to your user name. You can still send links even though the account is marked private, they just can't look through all of your pictures.

After you set up the account options, you go to the Main Album and "edit" which is on the left hand side, it will show all your albums and you can mark the public or private.

yup !! I have like 5 photobucket albums - none private ....but if we choose to make them private...we can by just editing our accounts.

The other thing you can do is set up a whole new album with a hotmail or yahoo address - that's how I ended up with so many lol - I use them for my labels and cards & business cards - all with the same name cept I add #'s behind the name to keep them straight -

I tried that but it will only give you 1 main album that you can add sub albums. But if you make the main album private, all your sub albums are private too and vice versa if you make your main album public.

I cannot find a feature that you can make the sub albums private or public even if I have a pro account!

I think you have 'bad' pictures and this is a cover story :D:D:D

Wookie - what I did was create new albums all with seperate emails -

you can make one that way Jenn and have it private - there's lots of free email sites you can use to have the confirmations sent to

You are right; you have to make the main one public in order to make any of the others public. If you have pictures on the Main album that you don't want seen, you could create a sub album, and put them there, and mark it private. With each sub album it works the same way, the main sub album has to be public and the individual sub albums can be marked private.

What I do is make my entire acct private, but if I want anyone to see the pics, I just send the individual pic links to that person, which isn't too bad unless you have a lot of pics you want the person to see.

Ha! :biggrin: You know me soo well! :cool: Just kidding!

I did make a new account...and I just put one album on it, so it is public where I don't need a pass word if I want to send the entire album to someone....

I did "think" about just sending the link to each picture...but you all know me and my massive picture taking!!:rolleyes:

How do you post photobucket pictures or send them? I save to my album and right click copy. Then what?? I know this is REALLY stupid, but how do you paste? What icon do I click on? Thanks, Lynn
