Freaking Kids
 

I had a horrible day today. It started off w/ riding the train to work. If you take public trans, you know how it is -- you always see the same people. well, theres this elderly gentleman who rides my bus and train and i always feel sorry for him. he's obviously broke and probably lives off his social security check. anyway, he has busted glasses that he stilll wears and tattered clothes.

i am still mad about this and it happened almost 12 hours ago. to make a long story short, we got on the train (this elderly man and i) and there were these preppy looking Catholic high school kids who started yelling stuff at him and making fun of him. they were wearing baseball shirts from their all boys catholic high school. i yelled at them and told them to shut up and stop being so cruel and a bunch of other good stuff. they harassed me, too.

i decided i was going to take down their last names (from the backs of their baseballs shirts) and call their school. i got to work and called the school and they were very grateful. i suggested they talk to their students about conduct outside of the classroom.

anyway, that's my story for the day. i conducted myself professionally and explained that i really love the school, etc and hated to see it being represented so poorly. sorry if this isn't well-written.

Good for you! I agree, people should respect other people more, and that applies EVERYWHERE! Good deed, funny you got their names! ;)

Unfortunately we live in a society today that sometimes lack sensitivity. I'm glad you were there to do something about it. It breaks my heart to even think about it. I hope everyone would do the same.

I just occured to me when I was telling my best friend what happened that the one kid said (the ring leader) "you're lucky you're hot or I would beat you".

you go girl!!!!! i hate seeing any one get upset but seeing elderly people get their feelings hurt or whatever really breaks me down, it always has. i have a great respect for you for sticking up for that guy!

omg how could he say that. i would've sent him to the moon anyway. although, he did give you a complement in a VERY twisted messed up way.

DAMN RIGHT GIRL!! I would have knocked him out! What a little snob! I'm really glad you defended that elderly gentleman. I'm sure he appreciated it.

When I was 19, I had a fight with a guy because he slapped my butt as I was walking by. After he did that, I turned around and said some very ..... ahhh ...... "colorful" words to him. So he got mad and "tried" to push me but little did he know that I've taken self-defense classes my whole life. (My dad made me and now Jim and I go together) We are currently taking Tae Kwon Do and I also do kick boxing almost every night. Anyway, I blocked his arm and then with 1 upper cut to his jaw sent him flying. So much for women being the weaker sex!
